  1. Yes, it's a bummer but happens everywhere every year. Most people do not even know about it. The protein everyone else consumes bovine would be this way too if they were not treated.
  2. Happy anniversary! Yeah
  3. It is buddy. Fantastic. It's being with your best friend 24/7. I know you know exactually what I am saying, 😉
  4. She was trying really, really hard not to crack up. This was the third take. She busted out laughing on the first two. 🤣
  5. Thanks for the report, John. Things are really getting out of balance in places. Those Blue Cat are hunter predators too. I have witnessed them below Truman dam looking over the lookout where you park to take tours or get a peek inside the dam. Those big ones would get in a group and work the shad towards the concrete corners and then attack and have a feast. I know they do that on gamefish. It's I suppose the way it is intended here but introduced into waters where they really don't belong can be really bad on the native species.
  6. I might add @curtisce was in the neighborhood and called saying he would come by. I said you might as well eat with us while you are here. He did and we had a good visit. Sous vide deer hindquarters roast finished on charcoal and cherry wood. Salad and sweet corn.
  7. No we didn't grow this but have a farmer neighbor that does. Plants a big patch for his family, big extended family. Generous guy. Called and said sweet corn is ready come pick all you want. We did a few days ago for fresh corn on the cob. Feasted we did. Went back yesterday morning and in less than 20 minutes we had three milk crates full. Pat went to work and I cut and ran. Kept 18 whole for corn on the cob for three days. The rest she cut off the cob. We froze on cookie sheets. This morning we vac sealed. Just FYI, 40 cups of sweet corn weighs 17.5 pounds. What a blessing. Gonna taste good this winter. We did not blanch the corn first. We have done it this way for years. No need to. VID_20240630_095559276.mp4
