  5. Our local news out of Joplin said nothing of a freezer but said it was Rainwater's corpse that was found. Unbelievable what some people would do. Hope this is all they find and may God rest her soul.
  6. You are a wealth information! Thank you, Marty
  7. These writers can be quite rank but there is a story on the white river and some good pictures, Southern Culture On the Fly NO. 41 - Fall 2021
  8. Seen that on our local news also. Pretty neat/

    You bet.
  11. Find this interesting. Have not heard this this. Was this in a news release? All I have read officially has been this and its pretty old, Dallas County sheriff warns of 'fake news' in Cassidy Rainwater case (news-leader.com) Wish we could get a current update. Anyway you look at it pretty spooky.
  12. What news or law enforcement agency put this out? Links please if you have them?
  13. I think you need to befriend the OAF Mafia to watch out for you. Just one deer head when he wakes up on the pillow next to him should cool him off. I can hardly believe someone would say this to you.
  14. I would say a challenge like when I used self bows and stone points to kill deer. It's not for everyone. Whatever floats your boat. I jest with John about it like others here. He is a fish encyclopedia. Helped many here I'd their catches. Just don't label all fish as suckers, shiners perch or brim or sunnies. Makes John shake And shiver isn't that correct @Quillback ?

    What's Cooking?

Nothing really special. Cut off top ventricles. Trim off membrane and be sure to get all the fat off outside. either before or after slicing. Slicing thickness up to you. Inside slices sharp thin knife and again trim membrane out of inside. Here are a couple links. This little lady does good. Seared Venison Heart with Whiskey Butter | MeatEater Cook (themeateater.com) How to Clean a Venison Heart | MeatEater Cook (themeateater.com) The first one is basically what we did Sunday morning. No Whiskey butter for breakfast although we have done it before. Yummy!
  16. What the heck!
  17. There is more! Micro fishing is cheaper in the long run. John doesn't have to buy or use live scope. Then there is up grading through the years depth finders and trolling motors every year generation 1 through generation 28. No boat and trailer to buy and get taxed, license and get taxed, maintain and be taxed again for owning personal property. Fuel depending on his pisces quarry locations can be local or exotic places. The way I see it there are two things to think of that are important. Keeping worms from freezing in the winter and dying from the heat in the summer. No entry fee for tourneys . @Johnsfolly have you tried to get a sponsorship from the dealers of Tango hooks? Pretty neat hobby if you don't mind using a magnifying glass to count rays on the anal/cloacal ,pelvic, dorsal, and pectoral fins. Go get em John!
  18. Yea the secret is just a tiny hook, split shot and a teeny, tiny , very, very minuscule piece of worm. Then hang on for the bite and fight! Those guys know what they are catching and don't know how to look it up and research what they have caught. Quite the challenge! Oh then there is the spreadsheet and filling out all that paperwork. That's just the beginning and then there is the little fillet knife and small skillet for preparation and frying your catch. I have nothing but admiration for your challenging sport!
  19. Yes. Ya just got to be here at the right time. Just ask Ham. I realize being half way across the country doesn't help.
  20. That was fun and we sure got into those nice whites didn't we John?

    What's Cooking?

I had texted same pictures of our breakfast to one of the guys hunting. Share with son and Brother please. We went up about noon. Took what was left. They all tried it plus the 12 year old that shot the buck that donated the heart. Needless to say probably will not get gifted anymore hearts . That is just fine because sharing something new to them is the best reward.

Hard to figure out if I want to like or laugh. Feel the same about Pat. How lucky are we Randy?
  23. Does he do best at dark thirty until it begins to get lite and then again in the last part of daylight? Even when cloudy unless it's very, very dark clouds the bite turns off for me. The other day on the main lake Curtise and I did well all day but darker clouds and high winds kept the upper water column churned up with not much lite penetration.
  24. Just My experience. Mostly rivers and skinny thin water.
