Looks like that dog is very embarrassed to me. Won't even make eye contact.

Wouldn't you rather be a hammer than a nail?

Get you some insect spray that has permethrin. Just pay attention to the instructions. Treat a dedicated set of outdoor clothes you wear where you are worried about. It protects you and kills ticks dead. While turkey hunting, I have watched ticks start making circles and die. The stuff lasts a long time on your outfit. We love the stuff.

Nothing but Prayers heading out from here for you. I don't have anything to add but My Doctor really watches those numbers each year on bloodwork. Do anything you can to keep it from spreading.

Plenty of native around here. They raise young in the old barn across the road. They are migrating back north now. Been seeing them for three weeks now. the black ones have been showing up now here for two years in this area.

When we forage and get wild asparagus its always paired with morels. You get the best of both worlds.

Those hanging upside down Black vulture decoys are made out of tires. They are all over the parking lot and along the dock hanging. I knew you all would get a kick out of it.

Thats a fact. Loved hunting crows. Crows are not the only animal that does that gang mentality. turkeys do it, chickens do it, heck I have even seen it here on the forums. 🙄

Which reminds me. Back in I think 1974 we were on vacation in Minnesota where my grandpa lived. He was a good fisherman. Walleye number one target. Trolled with an inline sinker that had the bead chain on both sides of it. A leader from there and it had to be a gold kale hook that way there was a keel of sorts hooking the minnow through the lips and nose to prevent spinning the minnow. He had a brown box flasher. So, he was in a rant about those guys with paper graphs. So mad because one guy was selling sections of the paper readouts to other fishermen. Was not fair to the ones who knew the lake the "Right" way. 🤣

This rain is what we needed. From just over 1.5 foot at the gauge in Waco to just under 5.5 foot and still rising. It will turn things up a notch. @curtisce and I went and launched at twin bridges Wednesday and made the run up all the way to 10 working various depths and places. I threw the fly rod and curt spinning. Third cast of the day I caught a three-pound channel cat on a pink over white clouser. Later on, curt caught three dinky whites. Lots of boats and fisherman. No one was tearing them up. A few that fished the day before said it was much better. Curt was watching his live scope and he could see fish checking out his lure but not committing. I blind casted and listened to curt say there is a bunch here or there but wind out of the east not much going on. It was nice getting out though. Curt brought along his Minatare Australian Shepard Foster. He kept things lively. I like Foster and he and I shared snacks with him all day long. I did not try his goodies but know he liked mine🙂. And you know I don't remember him being out in the sun all that much Mitch as I was growing up. I know he will be even more diligent and I am hoping he will see a dermatologist and see one yearly from now on. -
From Matt's post on social media this afternoon. Be sure to get any weird shaped moles or other odd growths checked out. Skin cancer is easy to treat when caught early. It popped up within a week. Saw a dermatologist and had a biopsy. Had Mohs surgery today and got cut out like 5 minutes. Maybe a 2 hour appointment total. Yep, that's my boy.😀 I know we all have friends that done if not one of yourselves. He said they cut out a place almost the size of a quarter. Not sure how deep they went. Stay Vigilant He told me this thing was growing fast. Squamous cell Carcinoma. If untreated and ignored Untreated, squamous cell carcinoma of the skin can grow large or spread to other parts of your body, causing serious complications.

It does say that, but tournament anglers are exempt. It comes down to making certain people happy. This being said all of us that have caught fish to eat and at the end of the trip not had enough to make cleaning worthwhile we turn them loose. I only do that with healthy fish, I have also hooked legal fish badly and know they will die and go ahead and clean.

Have you priced regular good sunglasses lately? The ones you speak of in the future will be hundreds of thousands dollar glasses and they will sell like hotcakes to those who have the bucks. LOL

Jet Jon project
BilletHead replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Like @jdmidwest said. It's a big different learning curve but once you figure it out it will open up a whole bunch of new waters for you. When you take it places where jets are not very popular you will not have much company of other fishermen. -
Thank you, sir. I live a distance away and am trying to minimize the trips to catch. I appreciate your help.

Yum Fresh salsa. Too pretty and colorful to be anything but fresh. I love summer when Pat whips up a fresh batch.
