Well, we got my Archery 2023 buck back finally today. I'm happy and it has a resting place. Pat and I have been bow hunting since 1980. We had three of our first deer mounted when you could do it for 150 bucks. Killed many firearms and archery deer since then but never got another done until this one. When I got this one, I told Pat how about a European mount. Like Heck she said it's going to be done right. Well prices have sure changed but worth it. Found out something today I never knew. The taxidermist asked me if this deer was killed in acorn timber. Yes, was there good crops available? Yes again. then see all those bumps on his antlers. Yes, well this is a sign of good forage. Then he showed me several river bottom deer. Antlers were as slick as could be. I looked it up this afternoon. Sure, enough it's a real thing. We never stop learning.

Believe me there is no more space between my ears for any more ideas. I woke up last night at 12:30 am. did not go back to sleep until 2:30. I was thinking about what I needed to do, what I should do and what I wanted to do. I had to do part of these things to keep my head from overflowing. I am currently running on a small deficit. I hope enough I can get some sleep.😆

You can screw up a steak cooking it wrong. A rodent is a rodent. I'm not planning on eating a rat, but I have eaten other rodents, and I am betting ninety percent or more of the folks on here have also.
