  1. You and @liphunter! The first thing to do for recovery is admitting you need help . Gosh big warm up comming, Whoo hooo so ready here at our house.

    What's Cooking?

    How about some crappie scampi?
  4. Me too! 7s and 8s . I have a 250 grain SA wet tip express with a 25 foot sink tip I put on my TFO BVK. I love that line and yes I know that long of a tip is hard to lift. I just strip in a bit more and one false cast to get a bit out and I let her rip .
  5. Are you testing the waters to see if it is alright to admit it was you doing this? We all feel the same way its ok to do this. I have a gravel driveway and 1.5 more dirt and gravel miles to the closest blacktop if you are interested Jeff!
  6. 20 minutes? I think maybe something is being shoveled here
  7. No but they did say that the scotchguard treatment was thrown in for free! 😆🤪
  8. What? No? We have our own @curtisce Appleseed on the Forum! Planting seeds all over
  9. Where ever you squat! That is unless you chew your food correctly and use your molars to pulverize those seeds.
  10. Introducing invasive species can be as easy as throwing an apple core out a car window (mic.com)
  11. Very much buddy!
  12. Thanks I thought that was still right but didn't want to speak out of line. You @Terrierman know the deal where I worked for years. Your kin Odie was my foreman during my apprenticeship. When he finally retired out I bid and got his foreman job and had my own crew. By then it was a two man crew instead of three but I had a crew:)!
  13. I have seen them all too. Couldn't wait for each new episode. It was so related to those years i can relate to growing up. Dang I'm getting old!
  14. I sent 183 squirrel tails to Mepps last week. When you buy more, Moore and mopan you can thank me or cuss me for the price. I fished them in 75 through 80 quite a bit. They were the cats meow right after ice out on farm ponds and into the spring. Slow retrieve size 4s and 5s with dressed trebles. Those big stinkin green bass loved them.
  15. Cool, The stuff I have in my lumbar under X-ray looks like a diamond in a goats A**.
  16. Yes this sucks big time and I don't think they should have to shut you off. I am not sure what is going on with utilities now. When I did line work service was most important first and foremost. When poles needed changed during routine maintenance we did it hot. Single phase, three phase buck arm corners. You put guts on the lines and laid them out on hot arms. Sure during acts of nature it was dead anyway and you could replace a pole lickety split. So after I had to retire the company changed hands a couple times. A couple of the guys I worked with are now retired but said with the changes so did most service. If the ones that called the shot said it looked dangerous they contacted the folks for outages and it was killed and worked dead. I am not saying all jobs are this way but now many are. I could care less if they have to wheel power from other sources to keep it on for a higher price. The power grid is quite large. If I can remember right our grid goes clear to the East coast. Like I said we will pay in the long run. i have been out of the loop for quite a spell. Is there still a public service commission where electric companies have to ask for rate increases or are we all under deregulation? I see a rate increase regardless over this. I am now under a coop and not public utility. Again this sucks as a consumer
  17. Boy I miss that show!
  18. Spot on!
  19. Mike, They should not pass that on to the consumer but I am going to bet there will asking for rate increases in the near future. We will pay one way or another.
  20. Blackbirds getting thicker by the day. I really don't mind the redwing ones. They feed mainly on the ground under the hanging feeders but there has been an influx of rusty and a few mixed in Brewers blackbirds. They are mean and bullies. Worse than blue jays. Run everything else off taking over the feeder I have on the tree with a platform they can land on, not so much the hanging ones. Just a bit ago seen one eating something on the ground. Got the binoculars it was tearing up and eating a yellow finch? We are finding dead birds especially today with the cold last night. This finch was not here this morning when filling the feeders. It was warm and thawed when I checked it out. I have a cheap harbor freight driveway alarm on this big feeder. Little songbirds will not set it off but the blackbirds do. It's fun to see what is setting it off at times but now have to turn it off during the day. Back on at night and not shutting the doors on the feeder because marauding coons are not visiting. It went off last evening. Got the spotlight and found a flying squirrel at the sunflower seed buffet. Pretty cool.
  21. A Bota!
  22. tho1mas, I have not got too technical with it. A few times I piled leaves in it during fall and turning it in. Then a couple times in fall just spread some pellet fertilizer to melt in. Never tested the soil. Try to rotate my tubs between tomatoes and peppers each season. I do have a rotating composter working but have not got enough out of it for use yet. Avoid putting anything tomato related in it to prevent spreading tomato diseases.

    What's Cooking?

Nice to have wives who like to make rolls isn't it @rps? Potato rolls for us yesterday. Perfect bottoms too.
  24. Son just texted me. City utilities in Springfield are doing rolling blackouts this morning. 30 to 60 minutes at a time. His mother in law just went out a few minutes ago.
  25. Freaking cold in BilletHeadVille too. Dang!
