  1. Happy days are coming soon. I think this will be the first to pick. Probably ready now but Pat has been ready to pick it for three days. Husky cherry red cherry tomatoes may be next. These are on the bottom. The plant is loaded to the top. Then first Black Krim. Here are a few celebrity Looking good. All 15 tomato plants are loaded. One of those 15 are like the little plant that could is struggling but quite a few even on it. Will be nice when we can eat enough to founder on tomatoes. Then it will be time to fire up the dehydrator!
  2. Meat is snow white and very tasty.

  4. YEP, Case closed 🤣🤣
  5. Was stripping some streamers looking for hybrids. There was a pod of grass carp. I noticed them actually tracking and even moving at the big streamer. I then decided to give one something size appropriate. Put on a Clouser swimming nymph. Tossed it in front of them. It was a race to see which one got there first and attacked it! What a hoot. Not my first and hopefully not my last on the fly.
  6. Why yes they are fun
  7. I hope you can continue to do so for as long as you wish. We think we are invincible but yes we will pass on form something sooner or later.
  8. The student becomes the teacher. Hummmmm Who did better in todays outing?
  9. No burning trash. Leaves and brush yes but am smart enough to stay upwind. We have a choice in what we do. I am betting I take a more cautious approach as most of the people. Lets see I have lost two uncles from effects of smoking related problems. Two aunts also. Have another uncle and a cousin with COPD from smoking. They both quit too little too late. Both cannot walk up a boat ramp without stopping to rest. Ticking timebombs. I am not afraid to live but try to do so smartly. I worry for my friends like you Wrench. I am surprised you haven't self combusted 🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣
  10. He knows what I mean.
  11. Like for Livie, not for you
  12. Yea! Wish I was with you. Would even clean them for you guys.
  13. Hey I carry a box of latex gloves in my vehicles. Gas up at my local truck stop. Get a 5 cent a gallon discount for having a good Sam camping card. Put on a glove to fuel up. You never know about those Fugging city folk spreading it when they stop at my local truck stop . You see I don't protect my system with carb cleaner or soaking my part in gas or protecting my lungs by smoking like @fishinwrench. Our closest rural town is seeing a spike but with tracking we are being told it is brought in from other areas.
  14. Awe come on Mitch, That one frog cannot be as bad as some of the migratory waterfowl you and I have eaten that have stopped of at some town sewer lagoon for a quick overnight or even just for a drink on the migration south and we shot. Good thing they don't live in that quagmire all the time. Then there is that extra select steak you buy that has been fattening up in a Kansas of Nebraska feedlot. Have you got a wiff of that? don't get me started on commercial swine operations. You like bacon? We haven't had a steak in months. Sure would like one those stinkin things. . Chicken or turkey operations? At least we don't have a wet market here in the states or do we?
  15. Another face mask issue, Yes I wear one either a buff or facemask my sister made us. Not a problem IMO but do have an issue. I have a highly sensitive Olfactory system and especially to scents in some cleaning products, clothes washing detergents, certain body washes and soaps, cigarette smoke and what I call rancid perfume some ladies wear. Enough I get a headache when encountering. I will have to go around and I mean way around blue haired elderly ladies in the store. We use free and clear type detergents in our laundry. Now all scents do not do this to me just some but most do. It is a pain to put up with but I do best I can. So one day we were in town outdoors with mask on and we found ourselves down wind of a highly perfumed woman. I am talking 20 feet and it turned me inside out. I immediately made a turn to take me out of her rancid scent trail until I got up wind. Then the scent was impregnated in my buff. Got what I needed to do then back out and unmasked for fresh air. Buff went into pocket until next place needed. Kind of had that out of my thought process until we had to do the Wal Mart thing. So left car and donned mask and there again it was. I about lost it again. Well here we go to the door where there is a one lane system now to get into the door. Next gauntlet to pass was the smoker trying to suck down the rest of his smoke to get his moneys worth before he went in store I could see it coming and by darned it happened the long stinkin exhale into my path. I had hit the double whammy. Now I had two offending scents in my mask and it was stuck in there. I almost abandoned that trip but didn't but by the time I got out my sinuses hurt and I got a headache. I am now going to carry multiple masks. It is funny I can do natural scents such as flowers, pines and such but there is something synthetic or chemical in stuff that sets me off. Does anyone else have this issue? It can be a blessing at times being able to smell natural things in nature but in same way dead animals and rotting flesh not so good.. I do like me a good skunk smell If it isn't in my face. This brings up another deal on this covid deal. What we cannot smell but lingers in the air. I am sure scent molecules are smaller than the covid bug. At least I hope so. Fragrance sensitivity and allergies is a thing google it up.
  16. Neat Mitch! Thanks for this today. I am hoping it was cleaned and she gets to eat it. What a learning experience for her.
  17. Ahhhh Negatory.
  18. I've been told a pink flamingo does wonders for the spread.

    What's Cooking?

So we have learned to double the sauce part in the recipe we use. Ness what temperature did you velvet the chicken at? Our meat is sliced pretty thin. About 1/8 th inch. Hit 275 and pitch a handful into the hot oil for 45 seconds. Spider it out. Let oil hit 275 and repeat until all is cooked.

    What's Cooking?

Nice. Looks great. Have thinly sliced goose for Sichuan marinating now. It will get the Velvet treatment as soon as we get home.
  21. Some channel cat mixed in here too.

    What's Cooking?

Young and tender. Mashed taters and squirrel gravy. Steamed asparagus smothered with sharp cheddar. I will say it. DANG Then there is the important tool that was used. A arc Wagner 10 circa 1898-1915 . The stories it could tell and we are adding to its heritage.
