  14. Thanks for the report Glenn, We missed the trip and seeing you all over there. We did not miss the Spider-Man undies and Amber describing the fart that ran here out of your sleeping headquarters. Would of loved her telling stories of her trip to India though. Depending on this weather I may take you up on the park trip. This cooler weather change has me pretty giddy to kill something larger than a squirrel. Saying a low of 37 in BilletHeadVille Sunday night into Monday morning. Hoping we can get through this front. Just put our area under a tornado watch. BilletHead
  15. Yes Wrench from summer grounds to wintering areas. I am not sure the distance Gavin is referring to but on the river I frequent there is a mass exodus from rocky bluffs the denning area to low swamp ground in the Spring and reverse in the Fall. You won't see them all summer but spring and Fall in certain sections 10 to 15 crossing the river. Pretty neat to see, BilletHead
  16. You had your lesson. Sounds like you did not pass. It's a POINT ! hahahahha BilletHead
  17. Sounds to me like you shot hundreds of Northern Shovelers or overcooked what you shot . #Snaggedsaysspooniesneedlovintoo , BilletHead
  18. A couple more and a failure, Finished up a Snyders. A middle woodland typically associated with Hopewellian phases across the Midwest. 2200 to 1500 before present 200 BC- 450 AD. I was a little bummed on my notching. I stalled out on my antler tools and had to break out the copper and steel tools to get a bite for a proper c notch flake to get a restart. I prefer to use what the Aboriginals had at their disposal for making points. IMO until the historic period they had none to limited metals like copper to knapp with. Ongoing debate in the knapping community on this. Copper decorations and what some call hair pins were found in later periods. This point measures 2 5/8 in length x 2 1/4 in width. Pretty thin and on the flip side I had some percussion flakes do some diving producing a dished spot. Yesterday I finished up another. Really happy all the way around with this one. A Scottsbluff 3 1/4" in length. Cross section spot on. The base is ground smooth as they were done for hafting. We have only one Scottsbluff in our collection that we have found. It is actually illustrated in this ID book as it two other points the BilletHeads have found. A date range of 9820 to 8750 before present, 7878 BC to 6800 BC. Like i said tickled to death with this one, A failure too. A miss hit, too much of a bite instantly turned this preform into a three piece, of r Fun day yesterday. Chief and I had a roadside visit and I got gifted a bag of red hot riplets! To top that off our man Ness was on a trip by the area and he made the detour to BilletHeadVille for a short visit! We did some point show and tell. We will see if he ( @ness ) will tell you what he held in his hands . I think we should start a point show and tell on another thread. I really do not want old and modern points mixed together, BilletHead
  19. Great to see you stepping into the waterfowl sport Gavin ! You will enjoy it. Are we afraid to cook your duck on the rarer side of medium rare? You do know that peas are not mandatory at a good duck dinner, BilletHead

Enchiladas today, We made our own sauce. Took a half pound of dried chilies. Protein part was venison. Side of rosarita canned refried beans:) . So these beans have been around any, many years. i just noticed on the can label where rosarita has had a makeover. Just when did that happen?
