There are some maps on the net if you google Stockton Lake maps. If you have questions about where specific areas are, just ask. Many of the guys on here are pretty good about sharing information. Zarraspook might even post up satellite imagery to show you a map of where an area is.There's some local slang used in referring to some coves, points, etc. on the lake, and a lot of the time I don't know where the heck guys are referring to either unless I ask. When and where are you camping, and what are you fishing for? WM

On the board with a limit! Now I'm getting jealous. I need to hop in the truck and head south! Soon! Good job there, MOPanfisher! WM

Way to go Dan! That's like completing a hail mary at the end of the 4th quarter! Couldn't be happier for you. I'm glad guys were able to give you some advice, but ultimately the fisherman has to figure it all out on his own and put the fish in the boat. Your getting them walleye figured out, hopefully some day I will too! WM

Come folk let's see'm walleye, we know that they are there!

Nice fish! I don't recall ever seeing that boat parked in front of kwall's camper! LOL! Are those Lake Erie lunkers? WM -
I have a 1st gen I-Pilot Terrova. I rarely use the foot pedal. The need for I-Pilot kind of depends on how you fish. I usually troll bouncers with mine and occasionally crank baits. I use the save a track function and select heading function much more than the spot lock. If you vertical jig a lot, the spot lock may not hold tight enough, I don't know as I don't fish that way much. For casting cranks for bass the same functions should work well. You can raise the trolling motor and not lower it in the water to save a track while motoring with your outboard if you desire. Let the boat drive itself while you fish. On a side note, the new Ulterra and Ultrex trolling motors with I-Pilot Link seem to be popular, so there may be some used I-Pilot Terrova's listed for sale at much cheaper then new prices if a guy is willing to wait and shop around. Holy smokes, hide this thread from Dan Hufferd. The A-rig is the only thing he didn't throw last Saturday! Thanks for the report audiochem, nice eye! WM

Gary Stanton or Lee Brown. http://www.reelxtc.com/ I've spent some time in each of their boats and have learned a ton from each of them. WM

She's a beauty! WM

Sounds like you needed your net man! Trolling cranks or jigging? Haven't made the time to report yet, but was down last Saturday and trolled cranks for a couple of hours and threw a rogue for a while. No love for me. WM

Great report and better pic! Kid fishing pics just make a guy smile. WM

Intro to the High-def Craw

I really like your logo. Any chance your going to offer sweatshirts or t-shirts on your website? I'd definitely be interested. WM -
Great points guys. I really wish a seven pound walleye received the kind of respect that a two pound bass does. Doesn't matter what the species is, a trophy fish is a trophy fish. Whether it was stocked by the MDC or is a species that has to rely on natural reproduction, it can't be enjoyed by others unless it is released. I've fried a few that I wish I'd have released and after thinking about that stuff over the years, nothing would make me happier than to catch a ten pound walleye out of Stockton and find it was later caught by Dan Hufferd to be released again to be caught by lmt out and so on, and so on. I think the 16-20 inchers are better eating anyway. My two cents...rant over! WM

For the guys on here that might not know Gary Stanton, he's a good friend of mine and can flat out put fish in the boat! Gary won the Cabela's Master Walleye Circuit Tournament in 2015 on Stockton with his tournament partner Lee Brown. Gary fishes Stockton often, he's in that big black Lund Pro V with all the long trolling rods sticking up stored vertically. If your in KC on March 18th it will definitely be worth the time to stop by Scheels and chat with him. I've been fortunate enough to spend some time in the boat with him and have learned a lot! WM

Guys, I am envious of those lunkers. Where did you catch yours bfishin? WM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfy55kL71ts This you tube video will kind of explain why your not getting readings when your speeding up as well as best location to mount. Your boat is probably a little bit different set up than the ones in the video, but I hope it helps. I don't think hitting a wake should have torn off that transducer. Are you certain it wasn't mounted in a location that loading or unloading the boat from the trailer knocked it loose? WM

Good job lmt out! Nothing in 2017 for me yet. It would help if I got to fish once in a while, you and Dan are making me jealous! WM

Way to go Dan! Awesome fish! WM

I agree with Dan. Throw those A-Rigs away and do what you guys do! I would have loved to be a fly on the wall watching you all hammer those fish! Great memories right there, thanks for sharing! WM

It's kind of dangerous Chief, you'll have to make it forever. Home cured and smoked is much better than the Canadian Bacon you buy on the shelf. WM

So, a couple of weeks ago a local grocery store had pork loins on sale for $1.29 a pound with a limit of two. I went in to pick up a couple, which I was going to cut up into pork chops, and cure the rest for some Canadian bacon and smoked chops. They said they were running low and I could only buy one. That kind of ticked me off, but I went back the next day and bought two more loins. I cut off like ten raw pork chops and put the rest of the meat in a simple cure of Morton's Tender Quick and brown sugar for ten days. I braved the bitter cold and smoked the meat Saturday, and let it rest until tonight. After enjoying a grilled steak with a baked potato and Cesar's salad, I sliced and packaged the Canadian bacon. It's not goose breast ham, but it turned out pretty dang good! I need to learn to do those butcher's knots that BilletHead does to shape it a little better in the future. Ended up with twenty-five 1/2 lb packs of Canadian Bacon, seven twin packs of smoked chops and four packs of ends and pieces for baked beans and such. Fresh out of the smoker All sliced up Packaged for the freezer WM

That looks fantastic BilletHead! WM

Looks fantastic BilletHead! Can't wait to see the end product! I have some pork loins curing right now that will be introduced to some smoke Saturday. I'll let them rest 'till Wednesday or so, and slice them into Canadian Bacon and smoked pork chops. I'll post a few pics after I get them sliced up. WM

Thanks for the report and video Dan! Good job on the December walleye! That second one was a dandy. WM
