  7. Well its a one time stocking of larger fish, then regular stocking of smaller fish. This spring/early summer I had heard first hand accounts that it was fishing well for brown trout. I just need to get down there now.
  8. Thats a pretty little creek! I was trying to convince my buddy to fish it a week or so ago but he never made it there.
  9. Hmmmm.........
  10. The current is super low, Lane Spring had good flow, and there were tons of tricos coming off and plenty of willing fish. I was there about 2 weekends ago, caught probably 40-50 of them from 3-10"
  11. Man, too bad I dont have the free money to play with or that flight would be mine!
  12. Cant argue with that!! I'd almost leave the deer hunting behind and just bass fish haha
  13. I have a farm pond like that to fish, but it gets fished a few times a year, but they arent shy.
  14. Hello all, I have a few random things Im looking to part ways with. Pictures are available upon request, and all prices are OBO. Game Big Cat pellet rifle. Just dont shoot it anymore. Has maybe 200 rounds through it. $50 Quantum Lite baitcasting rod and reel. Bought this many years ago thinking I wanted to give baitcasting a whirl. Not so much. 1 piece rod, 6' medium action. I remember it does cast nicely, just i NEVER will use it. $10. Misc plastic boxes with assorted soft plastics. I have a couple plano boxes with some worms, salamanders, flukes and what have you. there are probably hooks and weights in them as well, its been a while since I looked. $20 and its ALL yours. Mossberg 500 stock sets. I have two stock sets, 1 is the factory wood stocks from a late 80's model 500. They are a dark stain with nice gloss. $20 Second set is a "tactical" set, has a short pump and a butt stock with drop down pistol grip. these are made by ATI, and can fit all kinds of shotguns but i do not have the adapters. Should be able to get them from ATI. $40 Might have 1 or 2 short ( less then 6' ) ultra lights with reels I might let go, since they just collect dust now.
  15. nice fish!! I love carp, they are probably one my favorite fish to catch on a fly rod. I just need to find better pockets of them and start looking in the bigger rivers for them.
  16. How big of a muskie?
  17. Sounds like gar if they were big head shakers. Everyone I've ever caught thrashes their heads like mad. They fight really good, and they also will go airborne if you catch them close to the surface. I had a nice one hit sunday I guess it was down off marshall rd. Gar as great fun, especially when they are several feet long.
  18. Those are some HUUUUUGGGEEEE bluegill
  19. Nope, he put it back in the lake
  20. I will second the Des Peres lake. Its a good lake for kids. For lakes out at Busch, go to lake 22. I was out there last weekend caught tons of nice quality bluegiil and redear sunfish. Even had a 4lb bass on for a while that decided to eat one of my gills i caught.
  21. I saw some of these photos featured on Towee's facebook page
  22. Theres a bunch of talk about muskie in the crappie thread actually haha. I had a follow from a pretty solid fish a few weekends ago. I might have time to get out again next weekend and try again.
  23. Good deal! Im going to Kirkwood park today at lunch to see what I can find ( or not )
  24. Awesome I like the fly and Id really like to catch a walleye someday.
  25. I don't really care what size it is, I just want to catch one haha. The fly I have tied I can scale it down in size if need be. So I might need to do that as well. I think Im also going to tie in a few just random colors, maybe chartruse and white as well.
