  5. The term criminal mastermind usualy does not apply in this type of crime.
  6. There is nothing I have done in my life that can compare to twice becoming a father.I t will be the most awesome thing you will ever experiance and you have to remember that we showed the waiting room and the baby was brought to us after the delivery I wish I could have been with my wife when my daughters were born. Congratulations.
  7. That bottom one with about 4ozs of lead and and some double cowgirls on the front................would be a heck of a lure. The only thing I have been able to atract Muskie with on Fellows are big bluegill I'm tryinrg to land on ultralight and always right at the boat.....lot of fun
  8. This fall I lost my balance in my boat and my knee broke my glass st croix linear s glass rod I used for a spinerbait rod that I've had for a long time maybe 20? years and I can't really cast as well with the new and improved spinnerbait rods I had tried to replace it over the last few years still don't feel as good as that old rod. I guess i'll audition a new St croiw over the next couple of months. I still have a 61/2 foot 6wt glass St Croix Birch Bark rod from 1978. That was a pretty high dollar rod back then and 2 glass home made Fenwick rods.As a matter of fact my favorite rods and reels are pretty old and made in Sweden France or the USA If someone wants to pay big bucks for equipment good for them. I've never felt a need to. If thats what it takes to catch fish.............
  9. If this works I just got the website to open if it doesn't...............
  10. I've had about the same results as Al. I used the original size and had a bit of success at first but then kind of quit using them that year in favor of plastic worms that summer and have never been able to replicate the results again. I'm going to spend a few days this year fishing just with this and few other lures that have been major dissapointments. If they due not catch fish they will be executed at a time and place to be determined...........It's got to be the lures fault not mine..........
  11. I think the blakemore jig was on a 10 or a 12 hook . I used a spinning rod.
  12. mic,Back in the late 60s Blakemore put out a 1/64 and a 1/32 oz brown wooly worm that got a limit about every time I used it on 2lb line at Mermac Springs by St James. In the water it looked just like the trout chow they were fed in the rearing pond but it only seemed to work in a very short time after the whistle blew. After the first hour it didn't seem to work all that well. After they stopped making them I tied my own and they still worked as long as it had a black jighead but they never worked as well in bigger water like Taneycomo or on the Current below the park. and Gavin I think some of Jim Green's bass crawler flies would adapt well to a jighead for stream smallmouth and on Jim's ebay site he claims that he sells the crawler flies to guys who use them on a carolina rig but I haven't tried that yet but I plan to this year..............
  13. Danger danger warning ..Run away while you can...........you will end up building your own rods flies leaders and you will find yourself coveting your neighbors roosters in a different way and you will find yourself hunting pheasants and wood ducks and not knowing why and skinning road kill and people will look at your wife and say that woman is a saint to put up with him........... Sorry I didn't proof read it so I've made some corrections just thinking about it messed me up
  14. I agree ness, I lived through Bill Bidwell's years with the Big Dead Cardinals in St Louis but I had enough sense to dump my season tickets after the 1967 season.
  15. You are probably are right, I didn't get this waistline watching DIY network. But look at the bright side, I got a new Gumbo pot for Christmas.
  16. When you have an owner who is a knucklehead I don't think the Chiefs stand a chance unless they get rid of the knucklehead. He's the one who signs off on all the decisions made by the GM and the coach.
  17. Whats for dinner? Hoppin john......ham hock blackeyed peas onion and a bunch of other stuff over rice Emeril has a pretty good recipe
  18. Back at ya Pour Dennis and everyone else..
  19. what snow?
  20. I buy jigs on EBay from TCI fishing lures in Florida. I like the sickle hooks and he makes about any size hook and weight combo you want. I don't know if his jigs are better but I think they are and thats what counts. I like 1/32 oz on a size 6,4 or2 red sickle hook and I throw Gulp alive fish fry chartruse color in the original size about 1 1/2" for crappie but everything jas been caught on it since I started using it a few years ago that and 1/32 and 1/16 oz road runners are about all I use anymore.
  21. If this was not really happening it would be really funny. I agree with Jerry Rapp...............Jack you're not writing a script for Monty Python and testing it on OAF? I keep thinking about the dead parrot..................
  22. You and wrench sound like you have it figured out I always had the smallest house, cheapest truck etc in my group also had less debt by fishing strip mines within 30 miles of my house. That made it possible to buy a piece of land on the Big Piney and to fish NW Ontario just about every year after my daughters got married and having very little debt other then my mortgage allowed me after I got cancer to retire 15 years ago while a lot of friends still are working even after forced retirement to pay for stuff. I still buy or do a lot of things I want but I make sure I have the money for the things I need.
  23. I also want to thank all the guides who readily share information on OAF it sure has helped me when I moved to the area from central Arkansas I wish I could have had a website like this when I left St Louis and moved there.
  24. Thanks for the info Captain Joe I was just talking to my brother about this saturday and neither of us had heard anything recently and had kind of thought it was just a gimmick My question now becomes can I apply it to my fishing? I only fish for fun but if I were fishing for money I think I think I would have one. If I had one of these maybe drop shotting would be fun.
  25. OK I know that ads pop up on this website but I'm wondering how an ad from a hotel in Istanbul showed up this morning?......................or was it way to much eggnog yesterday and I,m still asleep. ........and how are the Smallies biting in Istanbul??????
