  1. I have to open them and see if they have egg or sperm sacks.

    Great Books

I have not read those but I do read a lot. I have an app that lets me check out library books electronically. I try to keep a couple on my iPad all of the time.
  3. I wonder where the OP has gotten to. He hasn’t been on here in several days.
  4. Good catching. Hunt as I may I just don’t see stuff like that on my units. I guess I still don’t know where to look.
  5. I am heading down there and checked the lovel -20 inches in the last 4 days.
  6. Nice eye. Was that an on purpose or accident fish? My eyes are all accidents but I will eat accidents.
  7. I am glad to see this report. I have seldom been able to catch off shore suspended fish. Magicwormman showed me how he does it though I’m not sure that the lesson took very well. I might have to beg for another lesson. i plan to head back down there Monday to try again.
  8. Well they have dropped it 2 1/2’ in the last week. It is only 7’ high now. If they keep this up then it will get to power pool real soon. The green fish should be getting out of the brush as it drops.
  9. Bob Bennett
  10. It may be like Pomme de Terre. There are some good walleye there but bass crappie and Muskie get all of the attention.
  11. I love to fish a spook for hybrids on humps at Truman. Does that lake have any walleye?
  12. That beat me on Stockton today. Do you think the cold front had any thing to do with the fishing?
  13. We have men catching some bass on spinner baits for the last few weeks. We went this morning and threw spinner baits frogs worms and swim baits. A couple of frog blow ups with no hook ups. We caught 1 keeper spot and 1 keeper greenie. A short greenie took the swim bait. I did not think summer cold fronts turned the fish off like that. I guess I was wrong,
  14. Yep and if they maintain the same volume it will drop faster as the surface area decreases.
  15. Nice goin I would have introduced 1 of them to some hickory smoke.
  16. Yep several species with weird shapes.
  17. Glad you had a good trip. Every trip should not only be fun but also be a learning experience.
  18. I would liked to have seen that little episode. That is the kind of thing that happens on Pom with those toothy critters they have down there.
  19. Do you ever fish Spring Creek for trout? Just wondering as it runs along my farm south of Hurley.
  20. I have been monitoring the lake level and it is coming down at a good clip. It has dropped over a foot and a half in the last week. If the COE boys keep this up it may reach pool by mid September. Though I would really like to see it stop 3 or 4 feet high.
  21. All of the boat traffic surprises me. I have been a few times during the week and the lake has almost been deserted. I’m also surprised that you didn’t catch any bass. Most of what I’ve been catching have been suspended though near the surface.

We fished from Roark to Cedar Ridge. Caught fish on top water, spinnerbaits, and bladed jigs. Had some greenies and spots. Wound up with about 20. And yes Walcrabass I brought home 5 nice spots.
  23. I think that he is a frustrated guy who wants to learn. That is why we plan to hook up and talk more in-depth than we can on the forum.
  24. A place you could try is the cove at Crabtree. Put in at the launch and fish all the way around it. About 1/3 of the way back there are a bunch of brush piles out near the middle that generally hold fish. I would fish them with a Texas rigged worm or craw. I would do the Texas not the Tex skin because of the brush limbs and hang ups.
  25. So would you want them fried, grilled, baked, or smoked?
