  1. I used to quail hunt on the MDC areas. We would jump a few now and then. There is one at Bois de Arc but I don't think you can hunt with a rifle. You might check out Talbot which is west on hwy 96. Also look at the Mark Twain National Forest land.
  2. 80-100 most years
  3. Sounds like your tank isn't venting.
  4. Dennis you need to get out more.
  5. Dutch

    Kohlrobi

When I grew them we sliced them and ate them raw. Even tennis ball sized ones would be getting tough.
  6. Have you looked at them at BPS?
  7. I have most of my plastics custom made by local guys.
  8. I'd keep using the bow until I got comfortable with the foot control unless I already had a transom mount or could borrow one to try out.
  9. A friend of mine wanted to spend an hour or so trolling for walleye a couple of weeks ago. We had been fishing for bass and I had a bama tied on so it threw it out while he trolled a crank. Mine aren't weighted except for the baits which had 1/8 oz heads on the three of them. The bama became a topwater bait. I couldn't keep it down at all. It might work if you could get it to stay down a ways. Earlier in the year when it was working on bass, I also caught some walleye on it but that was weeks and weeks ago.
  10. So how did the trolling go? Did you do it at night?
  11. Thanks Hunter. I'll pass that info along. Nwtf, when you state "tonight" do you mean after dark or in the evening?
  12. A friend of mine can no longer make many casts due to hand and arm problems. He's wanting to try to learn to troll. When does the crappie trolling on Stockton get started?
  13. Thanks. I've never heard of that before.
  14. I was down that way today and noticed a bunch of grass growing around the bank at Rockaway. Can someone tell me what it is? I don't think I have ever seen anything exactly like it.
  15. There shouldn't be and I have never seen one. However, I have caught some on Pomme de Terre and they aren't supposed to be there either.
  16. Good luck on fishing this weekend with all the jet skis and bow riders that will be out.
  17. So buddy when is the fish fry?
  18. I found them on buzzers early and 15' on jigs, tubes and senkos later when the sun was high.
  19. Forget the hemos and don't cut the line. Learn how to do this. Your finger won't damage the gills and once you get it turned around all that is holding is the barb. http://www.lakesides...b.com/hook.html
  20. Yes I have tried it and had some success. I make my own and have different sizes with different wire diameters. Loading up with smaller grubs and light weight heads and small willow leaf or Indiana blades has worked best for me.
  21. I didn't do as well but found them in 6 fow yesterday.
  22. I fish it a lot. I catch some of everything in there though it is not one of my favorite places.
  23. Now for the questions: Could this break causing weak spots in my line? YES Can I replace the end metal ferrels with a ceramic one? YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THAT If I go to braid on some reels will this groove issue be worse? NOT AFTER YOU CHANGE TO CERAMIC GUIDES
  24. The only was I know of to tell is cut it open and see if it has egg sacks or sperm sacks. I've talked to biologists who say they can't tell except just prior to the spawn.
  25. IMO it is too big to run around and hit spots until you learn areas. Pick a place like Mill Creek or Big Creek and fish in there trying different baits and banks until you learn it then learn another. It takes a long time to be able to find fish then know a similar place where you can go and find more. Time on the water is very important to me.
