  1. WOW, I never had any problems. There was one small issue with wpts that I wanted addressed and the Low tech said the .59 patch would take care of it so I loaded it to a card and wala it did. Sorry you had a problem.

    Look Out

As busy as that place is and with campers across the cove that would take a set of big ones or some really dumb ... to pull it off.
  3. Call your local license office and see if you have to register it for use on a public waterway.
  4. With smoked beef I like chunked up potatoes cooked in the oven and asparagus and squash grilled along with some tomato slices.

    Need Help

There is one in Crabtree Cove with some brush piles around it but I sorry I can't remember just how deep the water is. I'm pretty sure the one at Cedar Ridge is quite shallow. I don't remember any others.
  6. I'm sure if you pm Jeremy Rasnick he can tell you because he is a COE ranger. What I was told is 5' above the old pool of 654.
  7. Thanks Bill. I'll have to say that it doesn't make my vacation at Table Rock next week look very promising with the added triple digit temps in the forcast but one never can tell what MO weather will be when one has to plan ahead of time.
  8. Needle nose pliers and a sharp pair of sissors is all I need.
  9. I have the Lowrance units and my bud has the Bird. I went with Low because that is what I already had and knew some of the terminology. I can't even turn his Birds on and have no way of changing anything while he is up front. That being said I have fished with him many hours and we have used his and mine for locating stuff. I don't see a lot of difference in the side scan and down scan but the Bird 2d sonar is IMO inferior to the Low. The main difference with them is Bird is self contained and the Low has to have an additional lss 1 unit for each to have down and side. I did some checking around and saved several hundred dollars when I bought. If you decide to get something, pm me and I'll tell you about it.
  10. It is a 24 series from O'Reilly Auto Parts. Normally they don't have it out front. It is in a white case and sells for about $85. The one I have now I bought on a whim at Bolivar last winter on a particularly cold day knowing that my old one was on borrowed time and I'd be running all kinds of stuff all day long.
  11. First of buy a coated anchor. Then you can put it in any box. Use an old bath towel to cushion it if you think it is necessary. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Mushroom-Anchor/product/45256/-949341
  12. Opti Max has to turn over more than most motors so it needs more CCA than most. If you are running electronics off it you need even more. Look for a 1000 CCA cranking battery if you can find one. I am running an 875 CCA with live well and 2 hds sonar/gps units and cranking an Opti.
  13. At Bolivar landing you can go up river and do some long pole dipping clear up to and above the cave hole. You can go into stinkin creek and just below to get into timbered coves depends on what you want. You can also launch at Lightfoot about 5 miles down stream and get to timbered coves arount Pt. marker 8.
  14. If you bought them at BPS they'll give you all of your money back. If you have no receipt then you can probably trade it in for other stuff. JUST A THOUGHT

    Bait Shop

If it is Lackeys you are talking about, you can give them a call and find out 1-417-694-8012.
  16. I'd get in touch with Bill Babler. His not only is a guide he has a bed and breakfast if my memory is correct.
  17. There are no private ramps on Corps lakes. Try Bridge Port some time. They have a big sign on the north side but can't stop you from launching. MOPanfisher is COE on POM and Jeremy Rasnick is on TRock, PM them and see what they say.
  18. If you know the spot, take a metal stringer and a 1/4" nylon rope. Open up all the snaps, toss it out, let it go to the bottom and slowly drag it back and forth. You have a very good chance of snagging it. My neighbor lost one this spring. I went back with him and had it out in less than 10 minutes with my stringer thingy.
  19. Yes they do carpet.
  20. Nope that would be around Rockaway Beach. A friend of mine only fishes down there. He catches lots of trout trolling Little Cleos. My PB male was a 6.5# down there on a KO Wobbler.
  21. Scoot down around Campbell Point. They call that "Little Wichita".
  22. With that small of a motor you would need to be on the lower end if they are genning. You would not be able to pull against the current.
  23. CC is the Greenfield landing area right by the Hwy CC bridge. It is accessible from Hwy 160 a few miles east of Greenfield. The flats are all over the place above the bridge on the right going up stream to Turnback Creek and on the right going down stream from the launch area. There are lots more flats up and down.
  24. That bait over the limb has a name in my neck of the woods, "doodle sockin". We used to do that a lot with top water baits in the early fall on James and Sac.
  25. I don't remember the name but it is just south of the bridge on the right hand side. If you go don't order the quail. They don't have a clue as to how to do it right but their stakes are pretty good.
