I got there early and found that about a dozen and a half had beat me there. Never saw so many boat humped up around the ramp area in my life. It looked like they were afraid if they moved they would get lost.
I went up the river for some walleye and crappie. I found the crappie but not the walleye. But my fish were a lot deeper than yours were.
That is more of a drop than I had thought. I was there on Friday in the L and B Sac arms and found 50° water.
With the prediction I think I'd better get there before the weekend. The fish I caught were already quite deep and may even be deeper by now.
A friend of mine used to do that for a living. When the bad storms hit, Slick would be on one of the TV towers keeping them on the air or putting them back. I could never do it in the daytime let alone like he did in the dark.
You did a smart thing here bud. Even if you had been safe your little bro would have been miserable with the temps and wind. You have lots of time to be a big brother.
If things settle down and you get the PM thingy going I'd be glad to send you some info. I tried but you can't get PMs.
We had more than a double limit on STK yesterday.
I have sent reels to the Reel Mechanic in KS. He is a good tech who is factory trained on Shimanos.

The Alberto's knot is the only one I have found that won't break at the knot. I have tried most knots that are out there with limited or no success.

The last time I took one to BPS they lost it and I had to go the place on W Kearny and throw a fit. They found it in a plastic bag in the hall.
I have sent reels to a couple of guys who do good work. One is in KS and the other in AL. Let me know if you are interested and I'll give you the info.
Old State Park is Hartley Branch. If you go hwy 215 from Hwy Y you will see it on your left past Cane Hill. There is also a road that goes to the right and that is State Park campground and marina. If you get to the mile long bridge you have missed it.
It is on my boat and I am planning on getting an HDS unit. It would come with the manual, head unit, gimble bracket, power cord and gimble knobs. Price $300.
