    Stockton 12/10

I got there early and found that about a dozen and a half had beat me there. Never saw so many boat humped up around the ramp area in my life. It looked like they were afraid if they moved they would get lost. I went up the river for some walleye and crappie. I found the crappie but not the walleye. But my fish were a lot deeper than yours were.
  2. I was up more toward the skinny water. I found it to be 43° to 45° and those specks were comparably deep. Down to almost 40'.
  3. That is more of a drop than I had thought. I was there on Friday in the L and B Sac arms and found 50° water. With the prediction I think I'd better get there before the weekend. The fish I caught were already quite deep and may even be deeper by now.
  4. A friend of mine used to do that for a living. When the bad storms hit, Slick would be on one of the TV towers keeping them on the air or putting them back. I could never do it in the daytime let alone like he did in the dark.
  5. You might check with Springfield Remanufacturing. They tend to help people out.
  6. You did a smart thing here bud. Even if you had been safe your little bro would have been miserable with the temps and wind. You have lots of time to be a big brother. If things settle down and you get the PM thingy going I'd be glad to send you some info. I tried but you can't get PMs. We had more than a double limit on STK yesterday.
  7. Hang on to your hat she is supposed to blow. The last time I was there the fish had moved deeper so I'd check the 20+' mark.
  8. I have sent reels to the Reel Mechanic in KS. He is a good tech who is factory trained on Shimanos. http://www.fishing-tackle-repair.com/education/index2.html
  9. 43° water up in the James. I figured it would be like 50+. We had 53-55° on Pom last Saturday.
  10. The Alberto's knot is the only one I have found that won't break at the knot. I have tried most knots that are out there with limited or no success. http://www.stripersonline.com/Pages/Articles/article_arby_albertos_knot.shtml
  11. The last time I took one to BPS they lost it and I had to go the place on W Kearny and throw a fit. They found it in a plastic bag in the hall. I have sent reels to a couple of guys who do good work. One is in KS and the other in AL. Let me know if you are interested and I'll give you the info.
  12. Old State Park is Hartley Branch. If you go hwy 215 from Hwy Y you will see it on your left past Cane Hill. There is also a road that goes to the right and that is State Park campground and marina. If you get to the mile long bridge you have missed it.
  13. That same hair jig and pork is a good post spawn smallie bait. Just a slow swim along points or holding flats.
  14. I like 3 1/2" tubes myself.
  15. Bill D said it was good but they were running somewhat small.
  16. Sold pending payment.
  17. I'm also throwing in 2 transducers.
  18. You must have been up Lin cause I didn't see any boats in the Pom on Wed.
  19. I had GMAN do me 200 poison tail jigs last year. They have become my favorite jig.
  20. Our group has harvested 6 bucks and only seen 2 does so far.
  21. It is on my boat and I am planning on getting an HDS unit. It would come with the manual, head unit, gimble bracket, power cord and gimble knobs. Price $300.
  22. There is an ongoing thread on Bass Resource about Pomme de Terre.
  23. Won't guys be able to fish on the River Run side and up the Swan in the spring?
  24. The last time I was at Tim's Fly shop he had some really nice Fenwick HMG ultralights.
  25. That means we will always be able to get to the rock hole if they hold it to at least pool.
