I think someof you guys need glasses or at least get your eyes checked. She looks like the gals who came out of the Little Reno Club at 2 am on Saturday nights.
Basically I think it’s hype to get people to buy stuff because it’s different. I do a lot of finesse fishing with Ned, shaky and light weight jigs. I have been doing just fine with ml rods and my Shimano Curado X 70 reels. I do have one rod without a reel so I have ordered a Curado BFS reel for it just to see how different it is from my 70s. I won’t have it for several days but I can post up and give you a report if you want.
Stockton is 7’ high and the state has pulled the courtesy dock at Hartley. The square metal one is still there if you want to walk through the mud to use it.
We’ve had 4” and water is standing in the yard which needs badly to be mowed. Spring Creek is flooded and has the highway below the bull pen closed.
As of 6 am Table Rock is 920.25 I am sure it’s muddy and full of debris around Cape Fair and the main parking lot will be about nonexistent. I may drive down that way later.
The wind today was se, e, ne but the fish didn’t care. We caught 41 bass with half a dozen keepers, 5 whites and 6 drum. They were from 4-12’ deep in 70° stained water. The smallies are moving out but the greenies are outside the brush. 5 different colors of Ned did most of the damage.
One of these days I’ll be the one yelling get the net because I have never caught a striper. That thing was bigger than any hybrid that I have caught at Truman. Thanks again for a great morning on the water.
Bill I think he is referring to the regular weekly tournament out of Cape Fair. You can check it out on the MO tournaments schedule site.
This week is listed 07:00-2:00 with 12 boats.
I catch one occasionally on a Ned but Jeff was bothered by them all day. He actually caught 3 or 4 on a bass jig. Thankfully they didn’t want my shaky worm.
Jeff met me early this morning. It was 42° and foggy. We worked our way down lake as the fog lifted. There are a lot of floaters some are large logs. We fished all the way to Piney. The water was stained and down right muddy in Piney. The fishing was tough.. We wound up with about a dozen and a half. The largemouth were spawned out. Several of the spots haven’t spawned yet. Jigs and Shaky produced most of the fish. The surface temp varied from 63-68°.
Here in Republic we had two different tornado warnings this morning and lost power about 9. It came back on at 6. There are limbs and downed trees all over the place. We lost some shingles on the front of the house but no other damage that I can find. So how did you folks make it today?
