  1. I make almost every thing except Elaztech. Break offs don’t cost me much in the scheme of things. Most of our fish were shallow and in the shade.
  2. Bill I don’t know how many colors I have. I buy in bulk. I bought out a mom and pop that couldn’t sell Elaztech. When the Lew’s store quit I bought their inventory. Last month I got 65 packs from a guy that I know who knows a guy. I fish in brush where you wouldn’t send a bird dog on land. When I get hung up I break off. I don’t retrieve baits. When I retie I normally switch colors. You never know which will be today’s magic. Today it was California craw.
  3. My neighbor and I went this morning. We fished above the marina up almost to Carrs. The fish were on a variety of banks and points. We used homemade tiki sticks, shaky head and Ned. We only had bites on the shaky head. We caught fish on every color that we used, green pumpkin, dirt, watermelon red, junebug, Alabama craw and California craw. California craw was by far the best color today. We only boated 23 and they all had one thing in common (their eyes and butts were too close together). We fished from 7:30-1:30. There were several rigs when we arrived. There was only one besides us when we left. The air temp started at 69° and ended up at 93°. The water was a constant 82° everywhere we went.
  4. I don’t remember the last time I saw a 7 year old in diapers.
  5. In the boat and EASILY ACCESSIBLE not in a box with the lid closed. Inflatables addressed. See above post.

  7. I drilled a hole in it this morning. It is down and stays down. I will find out Monday whether or not it was a good idea. There was a sizable blast of air when the bit broke through.

    England?

There are some sites that are devoted to fishing with a bit of hunting thrown in and have thousands of active members.

    England?

What was the mistake that you are referencing, the revolutionary war, the war of 1812 or something else?
  10. This has been working for 6 years until recently. I’m just trying to figure out how to let the gas out so it will stay down.
  11. It doesn't go down like you would expect. It comes up all by itself.
  12. It comes up by itself. I don’t need it to be extended but can’t find any way to adjust it. Is there something that I am overlooking? I’m thinking about drilling a hole and letting the gas out or drilling and pinning the shaft. My problem is where to drill.
  13. I bought an Aqua view a few years ago. It cost over $600 which I thought would make it a nice piece of equipment. All it did was frustrate me. I gave it to the kids to use on their boat dock at CP.
  14. No but the regular Cedar Ridge one has. You can call the COE on Monday and find out.
  15. My wife and I had the education to work in most states. We did a lot of traveling and looking around at living and job opportunities. We kept coming back to SWMO. The closest to getting us to move was Indiana not far from Louisville KY.
  16. You haven’t lived until you have been to Alaska.
  17. You might want to do a weather check before you go. It gets windy down there in October. Wind direction may be a determining factor for you depending on your boat size and quarry.
  18. How do you know the chair was offered if you couldn’t hear them.
  19. That’s ok. He can’t count or add.
  20. I got tired and quit watching. All I know is Interstate and Optimas aren’t what they used to be.
  21. That’s one of the reasons that knives were invented.
  22. I already have spare Curados setting around. I don’t need any more. I service all of my reels except these DCs. I’m just a bit anxious about tearing into them. They aren’t dirty and probably only need a tad of oil on the spool and shaft bearings.
  23. I have a couple of guys that I have sent reels to in the past but there was a significant amount of down time. I’m hoping for someone drivable, take them, then go back in a few days and get them not wait weeks like in the past.
  24. I’m in the process of cleaning reels for fall. I cleaned and oiled 6 of my Curados but have 2 Curado DC reels. I’ve never taken them apart and would rather not. I don’t want to send them off and be without them for a month.. Do any of you know a close reel tech?
  25. Nope. They are going to create a pickup label for FedEx so they can get it from him and ship it somewhere. I hope the somewhere is me.
