  1. So maybe the shorts aren’t hanging around my spots like they have in past years.
  2. Get Oneshot to come by and burn your neighbor’s leaves.
  3. I’m sure that they would at Bull Shoals but fish seem to grow slower down at Stockton. A biologist that I know says whites in Bull Shoals are at 3 years old the same size as the Stockton ones at 5. He spent 10 years studying them at Bull, Stockton, Pomme de Terre, and Table Rock.
  4. How long does it take a crappie to reach 10 inches?
  5. So flopping around getting blood all over you?
  6. Shrink tubing covers lots of stuff and is easy to clean.
  7. So do you pull the head off or just enough to kill it?
  8. Who couldn’t work today? What woman cried? How does a 1 arm man kill chickens?
  9. I am not a knowledgeable crappie guy. I rarely fish for them. I have been twice the last few days and 70+ crappie. There have been some shorts but no tiny 6-8” like I have seen in the past. Is Stockton missing some age classes or are they hanging out around the brush? What have you guys been seeing?
  10. I took my neighbor today. We covered some of the same water as I did Saturday along with other stuff. They were still on structure at the same depths even though it was cloudy. They also hit the same baits. We caught 25 keepers and had probably 20 shorts between 9 1/2 and 10”. We didn’t see any 7 or 8” fish at all.
  11. Lilly’s Landing for a place to stay and Bill Babler as a guide.
  12. Really nice one congrats.
  13. People down there didn’t use to live in Puerto Rico.
  14. I don’t care much for it as I don’t operate on a clock. I tend to operate on the sun and temp.
  15. Were you fishing brush or structure? I was fishing structure. All I do is lose baits fishing brush though I have done fair on lay downs.
  16. 150 tournament boats listed, mile high sky not great for green fish. I tied on some stingers and headed to Stockton. No one ever fishes the way I do so I have no competition. Two different times boats came up and I told them to come on through. I caught 26 specs with 18 keepers to 13 “ and 8 to 9 3/4. I missed several and lost a few. They were depth picky. A foot too shallow or a foot too deep nada. I was on the water from 9:30-2:30. It was a beautiful day except for the boat wakes from derby guys running all over the place.
  17. Cops can not give you any time. You have to be arrested then a prosecutor has to file charges. After that you get a trial. If they find you guilty then the judge sets your sentence.
  18. That doesn’t make any sense.
  19. That maybe true but nonetheless it is sad. I’ve watched this site change over the years seeing many actual good fishermen quit posting and leave. One example is the Stockton forum. There used to be lots of guys who posted on it. Now there are hardly any. A couple of sites that I regularly visit have tens of thousands of members and moderators who won’t allow any rules infractions at all.
  20. Big Cedar or Chateau on the Lake should be able to handle a group that size.
  21. I had cataracts and opted for toric lenses to correct my astigmatism. They were an additional grand per eye but I haven’t had to buy those $500 per pair per year glasses in 11 years so I am way ahead.
  22. Once again you did better than I did.
  23. Started late because of the low temps. The weather man lied to me about the temp and wind. It was 42° when we arrived and 44° when we left. Neither one of us brought enough clothes for that strong north east wind and the fact that it was cloudy and temp didn’t warm up. Only one rig was in the lot when we left. All of the sissies had already left. We caught 10 bass with 5 keepers. The keepers came on a spinnerbait and the other 5 were on shaky. We also used jigs and A rigs but they were a waste of time. Surface temp was 61° everywhere we went.
  24. I went to Caney Mt once.
  25. I we decided to take a road trip. We took Hwy 14 over to 181 to Dora, ate lunch at Roy’s Store/Restaurant, drove to the Hammond access and walked out to Blue Spring. We returned home through Gainsville, Bradleyville, and Chadwick back to 14. There was a lot of good fall color if one likes that sort of thing.
