Thanks. Stockton has been kicking my butt lately is why I went to the Rock.
  3. Only had a few hours this am so I headed to the closest ramp. I took a shot at an off shore spot. It was loaded with shad an bigger fish of some sort but they were not in the mood to eat. A guide boat came along and set up about 50 yards from us. I saw them catch one short fish. After about 20 minutes of this I left and headed up river. We caught a couple on spinner baits as we worked our way up. I didn’t see them go by but the guide boat was in the mouth of Bearden when we went past. We went a couple of miles above flat and started throwing shaky. We missed some and lost some but wound up catching 12 bass. The best one was 3.5 #. The bait of the day was a June bug zero on a 1/8 oz head. Left before lunch and headed back home.
  4. The reel came this morning. Just a tad over three days. I’m happy with that.
  5. Hey I really appreciate the offer. I will try to take you up on that. I haven’t been there for a couple of years.
  6. I didn’t plant all of the brush piles that i fish.
  7. So what government agency do you work for?
  8. Not until the kits are available.
  9. My reel is coming UPS. I have a rod coming from Sacramento FEDEX. I hope it gets here by next Tuesday.
  10. Uh maybe it has to do with availability. Are you aware that Missouri has over 900,000 public school children. Add to that all of the other people connected to the direct operation of the schools.
  11. I have been a customer for years buying reloading supplies for rifles and shotguns. I’ve been wanting a new Curado DC 150 HG. BPS has them on back order as do many other places. My search showed Midway having what I wanted (I didn’t know that they carried fishing stuff). So I ordered it Monday at 4:30 pm. They shipped it that same day. It may arrive today. Shorty’s Hook Sales is the only other place I know of that has that fast of service.
  12. That is a good trip for sure. Congrats. I’ve been thinking of a trip down there. Mind sharing what part of the lake you were on? It’s almost 2 hours each way for me so I don’t do it very often.
  13. What ever you go with, you will have more options if you match your depth finders to your trolling motors. I’ve heard only good about the new Garmins, but I am too invested in Minn Kota and Humminbird to make any moves.

    Gone?

I’m sure that the COE has regs that cover that for marinas. I know the state has regs at Stockton State Park about where you can and cannot fish near the marina. You want to get an ear full try fishing near the K dock marina.
  15. Well I never thought there would be an over population of Canada geese (yard carp) in MO either as well as pelicans and armadillos.

    Gone?

As enter the cove, between the launch ramp and the marina there has always been a sign posted about no fishing. What I have been told, from there until you get past the last dock going up the creek is a no fishing zone but I don’t know that for a fact.

    Gone?

    Stockton forum is the same.
  18. I think you missed my point. Harley thought it wasn’t a good idea to be there.
  19. I believe you answered your own question.
  20. Did you see the pics of Sturgis? Rumor has it that Harley Davidson opted out on having a booth there. Maybe they have some smart people in that organization.
  21. Didn’t Legend close down? Didn’t Johnny Morris buy the plant? Would you be able to get replacement parts if needed?
  22. I’m guessing that it came by train. It came with the place and the cellar behind the house is dated 1898 and the MOPAC line used to run through Hurley just a mile north.
  23. I’ve never seen one of those, but I did see a motor home pulling a double decker trailer with a Ford suv on the bottom and a Lund on top.
  24. It is a pretty good sized one maybe 14-16” in diameter. I will pass on your recommendation to him. I knew you would have some suggestions. Thanks Marty.
  25. We have a cast iron dinner bell that was used to call my wife’s family in from the fields. It is stamped 1886. It has been in disuse for 30 years or so. My son in law wants to restore it for my daughter. Neither he nor I have any idea what to do. It is rusty. He is thinks sand and paint. What should he do? It is going to be outdoors when he is done.
