    Walleye

Can some please school me. I am wanting to learn to fish for walleye. They are "accident" fish but really taste good. I have read some about bottom bouncers and spinner rigs. I made up some bouncers and am in the process of snelling some hooks and making spinner rigs but don't really know what to do with either of them. Any help appreciated.
  2. I have switched to the Pitzen knot for all applications. It works on mono, braid and fluro. I can even tie it with gloves on in the winter.
  3. Book it out. He is only asking LOW RETAIL on this rig. Average retail is $54,000 and I'm quite sure this boat is well above average.
  4. The spinnerbait bite was off tonight. It was gut slick and they just wouldn't cooperate. Had 6 shorts and no keepers.
  5. Been catching some on spinnerbaits and tubes but the bite has been gone at dark. They weren't over 10-15' deep.
  6. That crappie looks pretty good to me. J-Doc how do you grill fish and keep them from falling apart?
  7. If you want the lower end then there are campgrounds at Forsyth just below the Powersite Dam.
  8. Totally Awesome from Dollar General is what I use for all types of cleaning. Then rinse well dry and apply Meguiars Mirror Glaze.
  9. Was that you fishing the rip rap on the east side of the Y hwy bridge in the late morning?
  10. I keep a log with microsoft works data base. I chart and track weather, water, temps, moon, baits, colors, etc.
  11. Even on a good day you may be off 20' or more. I set a visable trail and use that to be sure I am not going over the same water while scouting.
  12. I've looked around here and can't find any with bunk beds. Sorry. If I see one I'll get back to you.
  13. I use the plastic boxes for all of my stuff and keep it divided into manageable amounts. I put what I need in a tackle bag for a day's trip.
  14. So these don't belong to you???
  15. Brian turns a mighty good wrench at Fred's.
  16. There is a bumper pull for sale just a couple of miles from my house. I can check on it and report back if you want me to.
  17. I might be interested in the stuff but really have no use for the assortment of used brass as I like all of my reloads to perform the same. Are the dies in good shape? About how many rounds have been reloaded with them?
  18. I hope that they hold it and let it get up to around 873 for a few weeks.
  19. OK. What were you using that caught cats and bass?
  20. I was there today until the storms came in. I chickened out and came home. I had 6 greenies on a spinnerbait and 1 brown fish on a jig. None of them came from the backs of coves. They were near or on points.
  21. Thanks for the report. I'm heading down that way tomorrow. May look for some green fish or brown fish if all goes well.
  22. Use what works for you. When I drop shot I use real small and light stuff so I employ one of my spinning setups.
  23. I'm not familiar with that one but I do run AGM batteries. I don't think I'll ever go back to flooded cells.
  24. Scott and Brad at Marine Repair Center in Spfld work on them. 833-9191
