Should have mentioned they are agms. I unplugged them overnight and checked them with a volt meter. They tested 13.24 on the new one and 13.06 and 13.07 on the old ones.

My boat was gone for 2 1/2 months and my 2 year old batteries were in storage at the factory. When I got it back my 36 volt Ulterra was not as powerful as usual. I had Scott check them and he found one belly up. He replaced it ( he only had one on hand) and I went back to the lake finding a strong trolling motor again. I have 2 more ordered so he can replace the ones left. What I am trying to find out is how good the other two are. If they are only good enough for core swaps so be it. But if they are still functional, I want to trade them to someone who has some cores to swap. Do any of you have a definitive way to check them out?

I have been fishing Table Rock since before some of you were born. My take on it is the numbers of big fish (5-9#) is down. I have no explanation for that. However, I have found that the number of total bass is up, this is especially true for spots and smallmouth which some attribute to the decline in largemouth due to viral hemorrhagic septicemia.

Yesterday I tried casting around ledges. It was a fiasco. Then I found fish on M L and tried holding it above them. They would swim up to it then swim away. Next time I am going to use jigging spoons also. I know they will catch fish.

Aurora Canvass in Battlefield is the best place I have ever used. Dell isn’t cheap but he is good.

Before the nighttime speed limit, I would launch at Cape Fair and motor to Baxter. I could do that quicker than driving to Baxter. I’d fish until midnight then make the run back at wot, 17’ Ranger with a 150 Mariner motor.

Oneshot, I stand corrected. We had that phenomenon last week so I assumed you just hadn’t been out. I went out just now and it has gone back up $0.13 per gallon.

It is below your price range but you might stop by BPS and have a look at a FENWICK HMG. I have several of them and find them to be quite serviceable. I use them more often than my Avids or GLoomis. They have a lifetime warranty. I’ve had a few replaced with no questions asked. I used to buy Falcons when they were made in Harrison but haven’t since they were moved to China.

I plan to try some out on Tuesday.

The boat is better than it has ever been. There were a couple of things that needed done before the blisters were found. They had given me a quote before they found the blisters. They wound up fixing everything and covering all under warranty. No charge to me.

Does anyone use them in today’s world? I got a box with a dozen in it. I haven’t thrown one in years.

Maybe but they are saying very little wind so I’m looking for some eaters. If I don’t find them I will try Stockton 01/01/23. If I find them I will be back Sunday. It has been over 2 months since I have been in my boat. It was upside down at the factory for a couple of weeks so I just hope everything works.
