  6. I like, mststudent10, would chose the jig. fast slow deep shallow and you are alway throwing a big fish bait. If i could only fish one lure and had to go out and catch food to survive any season a jig would fill your tummy and your live well
  7. I like and use them on Table Rock alot. I have caught some nicelimits using them. I like them because they can be fished any depth. I also fish them on a limber rod so as to add extra wiggle and get a vicious strike. i also catch very few small fish on them. I have caught google eye smj lm k's and walleye out of the rock on the as well as 2 whites that were over 4 lbs each . fish them fast or slow. the do hang up alittle more than a typical spinnerbait.
  8. Thank you to those who were willing to lose their life so I can enjoy mine. that really doesnt seem like enought but, I hope it makes those who served feel appeiciated. Thank You and your families.
  9. I dont know how you can leave a place like whats in that picture to come to Table Rock and fight all those pleasure boaters and jet skies. I think you have a fine lookin rig, its not what you fish outa its how fish outa it. TR

  14. you might try B & J Boat Rebuilders in NIxa MO, 725-1792 I have never used him but have seen his work on a friends boat he did really nice work at a fair price. If you keep your boat just covered that can cause it to degrade. The extra heat and moisture might be your problem try letting the boat breath more.
  15. Fozz Thanks for giving the rest of us a chance at her. To bad about the timing issue. But with a fish like that does it really matter when you caught her?? NICE FISH
  16. Guys I to felt and saw the bats. I was fishing a derby so I was really paying attention to the line and the strike was very hard and fast. It was also suggested by a friend that walleye or gar might be to blame. Thanks I will try to hold off and feed them and see if I get a better result. Thanks for all the input. Tr
  17. I was fishing Saturday night after 900pm and had an odd kinda strike. I was fishing a salt craw and had at 6 or 8 times a really hard definate single strike. Not the rapid fire perch type bite just a solid hard thump. I would lower my rod and set the hook and haul water. What could I have tried to get them to commit? It happend a few times on the jig bite also. I was fishing 15-22 ft of water on channel swing it happened with a parallel presentation and a pependicular presentation, in relationship to the bank. Any thoughts would be nice. I was fishing a 6" salt craw and a 3/8 oz jig n craw. Thanks In advance TR
  18. Pegging I use a round not flat toothpick, has worked for years and if you need to you can pick bugs out of your teeth. Alway like to find mulituse user friendly tools
  19. Tapout Really nice catch. Thanks for releasing her to fight another day. Great fish
  20. No I have not been fishing any derbys yet, learning to night fish IE get the hang of it first. I guess my question is are the fish just really scattered and you need to move often and cover lots of water and if so Is Jigs and big spinnerbaits the right Idea????
  21. I guees i need to state that those 5 fish was it no shorts no other shake offs nothing? What Am I doing wrong????
  22. I have been out the last three weeks fishing from 6 till about 130 or so. On friday or saturday nights. I have heard of guys catching lots of short fish. I have been concentrating on points and docks on the main lake. I have caught nice fish each time. I had 2 keepers 1st week, next week 2 nicer keepers 19" this week 1 nice 18-19" keeper. Do I need to move more and hit more points, dock fishing has been a bust for me and my fishing buddy. Are the fish really that scattered. or am I not in the right spots???? Thanks TR
  23. His name is Ty Ingram and he is a great guy all around great outdoorsman and friend. TR
  24. My approach was simular to Jason's except deeper 12-25ft counting down spinnerbait then a slow steady retreive. He is right about them hammering it. Blue black 3/8 oz with black twin tail trailer. had 2 short strike it, will add stinger hook next week. Point and wind was the key for us. TR
  25. Jason I tried your tip about the spinnerbait, and it worked out good. Those small mouth are mean and aggressive. Thanks Timmy TR
