  1. Finished Atlas Shrugged a few weeks ago, really enjoyed it, a good pro-capitalism anti-government novel that will go down as one of my favorites for sure.
  2. 11 pt, nfow, current, to name a few
  3. Brandon ran a guide trip day before yesterday and they did well!
  4. Stripers ate them all.
  5. NO fish left in the river!
  6. That is a dandy!!!!
  7. Or a sunburst gift certificate!
  8. I just enjoy it and like Joe usually let out a yell. A few years ago I caught a 24" brown on a 7 1/2 foot 4 wt. It jumped 3 times (looked like a rugby ball coming out of the water) and I loved every jump, made the catch that much better, although I will admit when I saw it come out of the water my anxiety jumped 10 fold seeing how big it was.
  9. I have a Finn (after Huck), and Sloss on the eleven point has a Fin. The name seems to work.
  10. But where are you going to be?
  11. I never did either, but met him one night at Texas de Brazil in Memphis. He came over and shook everyone's hand and we talked about how his wife was from Oceola and how we wished he would come coach the Tigers. Totally different than what I expected from him.
  12. Zero turn for sure. I just got a new ferris, it is much smoother than my gravely, independent suspension on all 4 wheels. Pricey but your back will thank you. Any will be good with just a few acres to mow, commercial ones are high, but will take a beating, homeowner ones just need a little more tlc, but should last if you take it easy.
  13. I'm sure we will see a change in protocol now as to how offenders are placed in life jackets. It is a shame it took an accident like this had to happen, but hopefully it won't happen again.
  14. I would agree with your title, hard to ID. Looks mostly bluegill to me, with a little something else on the side, all I know is gut it, scale it, and fry it up and it will be tasty!
  15. Sounds like you educated them pretty well on Friday Rick!
  16. Nice report! I fish in crocs in the summertime when I don't have to really walk, but once last year I was waiting for some canoes to get in and I went up to the top of the island at our landing, probably a quarter mile or so. I immediately waded out and slipped losing my croc. I laid a perfect cast on top of my shoe and starting retrieving it, unfortunately it came unhooked and I had to pussyfoot it back on what must be the sharpest rocks in all of the Ozarks, then I had to load canoes with one shoe on. Not ideal, can't remember if I caught anything.
  17. Good luck finding a train. If you find one it must be derailed!
  18. Our hillside by the house has lots of wildflowers as does the front of the campstore, although we need to refresh some as a few have died off over the last few years. I love seeing the hummingbirds on flowers, they often come visit inside the store if the door is propped open.
  19. We have a mean one we call Black Bart.
  20. Seems like what you have brought to the table has really taken this thread to the next level.
  21. Don't get me started on my boat hoarding!
  22. Hybrid bluegill are just a green sunfish crossed with a bluegill, may have been stocked in a pond and washed in. They sell them because they grow so fast and big.
  23. Nice
