  1. Another way to beat the fees is volunteer. I get a National parks pass every year for putting in time at the ONSR.
  2. Pine crest campground is just up the road on "YY". Montauk is about as far the other way. Primitive camp at Parker ford.
  3. Great. It is probably between Tan Vat and Baptist, then. End thread Hi jack.
  4. Gavin, did you see a dumpster while you were out Bap to Cedar? Let me know if you saw it so we can get it out of there. Thanks
  5. Yesterday the flow was around 250. 250 is about the fastest I like to wade. Still too high to cross at Parker, though.
  6. Looks like everything is fine out there. http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/arrests-for-drunken-boating-plummet-on-missouri-waterways/article_f3cbea03-26a3-5e94-be72-7f85a9baf3bb.html

  8. Ah . Now I see, You are a fiction writer. They are fun to read. Thanks.
  9. Why not buy the 2000+ acre farm for sale on the upper end around Thomasville? That area is out of the scenic easement and would add more protection than a property already in the easement.
  10. Have Akers or Jadwin put you in at Welch spring access. That is 2 miles of trout water and then 10 more to Pultite. We floated welch to akers last sunday and the fishing was great but we fished it hard. We put in at 10 and got out at 6.
  11. Caught several of these today. Water is low. They shocked Tan Vat to Baptist again today. The boys said they measured a 5plus # Brown. The leaves are really starting to fall now. The smb also were biting.
  12. No such rule in the ONSR. Pretty much same rules as any other area in MO. There is a limit due to space and weight. Probably 10- 20 cases...
  13. Thanks for the update. I will so glad to get rid of 8.1.
  14. I usually just say something about the ned rig...
  15. Evacuating Alley spring campground, now.
  16. Yep Current and Jacks closed to non motorized vessels...

  21. The water as of a few minutes ago was great. The weatherpersons are backing off on the totals.
  22. Yep. We have had 1+ inches today and the real rain is coming in later. I was down yesterday evening and the water was perfect. There were a few over-nighters that were getting off today.
  23. The ONSR will close the river when the gage hits a level mentioned in the superintendents compendium on their web site They will put the closing on facebook page but not the website. http://www.nps.gov/ozar/learn/management/upload/OZAR-Supt-Com_Signed-050815.pdf

  25. LAD/ Pioneer forest own a lot of the land along the current river as mentioned Chalk bluff also cave spring (that is why it is not closed due to wns) also all the land from round spring down past big creek. The land does have a scenic easement on it.
