So my wife is in a Chinese fishing group, they all met at Suson Park the other day catching the newly released trout. It was hilarious watching the Bosnians catching fish in one specific spot and all the Chinese running over trying to see what bait they were using. 😂😂
So the leader of the Chinese fishing club is a lady. Last month they had a meeting at a local Chinese restaurant and we were invited. The lady who was president of the group comes over and says “You wife told me you were good fisherman...Can you help us catch fish?” I asked her what type of fish are you targeting. She said “Any kind!”
ps. Forgot to mention my wife’s friend back in China lost her father when she was a teenager. He was fishing with bombs and blew himself up...true story, unfortunately.
Great report Bo!
question: in your opinion and the opinion of Quillback, why hasn’t Table Rock produced any big smallmouth? I’ve really been disappointed that no one has even come close to rivaling a 7 pound smallmouth. You would think a lake with the smallmouth population like TR would at least produce a few 6-6 1/2 pounders every year.
If protest idiots of all kinds got no press coverage then they would never get any traction. The press loves to make a mountain out of a mole hill. It’s why I despise the press.
Gavin is right about the loop. Our favorite place to eat there is Corner 17. The best Chinese food in STL in my opinion. They make the noodles in front of you and have the most unique shaved ice dessert with cream added.
So I had my Costco ribeye cap steaks cooked Sous Vide for the first time tonight to celebrate my wife’s 40th BDay. Fantastic flavor. My oldest daughter said it reminded her of high grade sashimi instead of steak. Finished it with a blow torch. Absolutely great but we all agreed we like the charcoal grill version better.
You can shop online and never have to leave your chair, Jann's Netcraft is a good place to start. Lure parts online is good too, ... and for any or all your fly tying needs, Hairline Dubbin, out of Washington or Oregon I think.
