Jets are more of a point and gun type of running. At first I let the back end slide too much during turns and got in trouble a few times. Avoid sucking up gravel, that will dull the impellers quickly. Also, only one rock can screw up the vortex action and reduce performance greatly. If you're the type of guy that likes to tinker with a boat (I'm not), then keeping your grates straight and sharp will also help performance a great deal.
