  1. He's doing the daily one cast for his Alaskan Forum.
  2. Nice fish Jim!
  3. Jets are more of a point and gun type of running. At first I let the back end slide too much during turns and got in trouble a few times. Avoid sucking up gravel, that will dull the impellers quickly. Also, only one rock can screw up the vortex action and reduce performance greatly. If you're the type of guy that likes to tinker with a boat (I'm not), then keeping your grates straight and sharp will also help performance a great deal.
  4. I have some Cherry Wood rods and they are a pretty darn good bang for the buck.
  5. No problem.....Friendo

  7. Glad to see them get busted. Some people think they are above the law.
  8. I have one and Like it
  9. Hate to hear that. I just hope that he somehow finds a way to heal.
  10. Prayers coming
  11. Most of the time I just buy the wheel and tire together on Amazon or EBay. They are so cheap and I don't need to mess with putting the tire on.
  12. You're taking small stream discovery to an all new level!!
  13. Have often wondered that myself
  14. It's pretty refreshing to hear about someone excited for their new job. That's a great attitude to start with. That attitude will get you far. I see far too many disgruntled employees out there.

    What's Cooking?

    Ness/Cilantro = Mitch/Brussel Sprouts
  16. New book out!
  17. Definitely not trying to be a "little guy", it is first and foremost a craw.
  18. Elaztech has the market by the short hairs. Since salt makes a bait sink, and you can still get the TRD to stand straight up with all that salt is pretty amazing. We don't salt our craws for a reason, more movement. But I do know that I would put salt in them in a second if I could. Tackle HD is coming out with the small craw later this summer. It's 3" long and was actually our first design size. I may experiment with salt with our version of the "Little Guy"
  19. Good luck with the new job!
  20. This was my band growing up
  21. Magellan Neoprene wading shoes $19.99 at Academy, I've got a pair and love them
  22. Pretty much agree. But with more than one child (like you and me) they all need to suffer sometimes and do things as a family. This goes against the grain of all involved. The oldest is bored and only wants to hang with their friends...the middle likes doing her stuff and so on. They all like different things and get irritated when they have to get along and then start complaining. One of the biggest things I teach my children is to respectfully communicate with adults. When someone says hi, don't stare at the ground. It's been tough sometimes but I'm making headway.
  23. Nope, just occasionally on this forum. We never talk politics while fishing!😁
  24. Al is always about 2-3 steps ahead of most. Power of concentration for long periods is one of his talents. If him and I disagree on politics or something it really makes me study my position 5 times longer because I know he has studied and read about it for long periods before he takes a stance.
