Just wondering what your thoughts are on finesse vs. regular jigs. Finesse jigs seem to be a great choice when the bite is pressured. They get bit when the larger ones turn the fish off. What makes a good finesse jig besides a smaller profile? Sparsely ties strands, hook size and shape? What rod size and strength? What line size do you use?

I used to fish the Menominee River in Wisconsin. Caught 5 20” smallies in one day. In the last 10 years there has been a couple of fly fishing guides that have ruined the river IMO. We’re talking every day like clockwork a drift boat comes by and you can mark your watch.
