  1. This is a well maintained great running boat. The motor runs flawlessly and the boat makes for a great fishing platform. Comes with a humminbird 898 Side Imaging/down imaging/gps at the console and humminbird 859 down imaging/gps at the bow interlinked. $10995 Obo Check out my 2part YouTube video describing the boat in greater detail! 2. Hey all, I don't post on here a ton, and usually stick to the Lower Bull Shoals board, but after a long weekend, I felt compelled to say thanks to Pepe and everyone at White River Lures for the success I had in the Central Pro Elite Championship this last weekend on Bull Shoals. I managed to pull out the victory, and I think the Bakers Craw from WRL was a major reason why. Like a lot of the members on here I've received some baits to sample from Pepe. I got a few packs of craws. I've liked everything that I've tried to be honest, but the Baker Craw really seems to be a winner. Leading in to the derby, I was catching a few early on topwater and then rotating between a jig/craw and a 10" worm deep as the day progressed. The 3/4 ounce football jig, I paired up with a Baker Craw from White River Lures in "Cape Fair Craw" color. The bass absolutely love them. In fact I had to switch to a rage craw half way through day three because the fish tore up both packs I had! What I found was that the bass seemed to like both the Bakers craw from WRL and the SK Rage Craw equally, but the fish would hold on significantly longer when the jig was tipped with the bakers craw. In talking with Pepe I'd say it has to do with the unique scent he's built into the baits. As we all know, fish holding on just a bit longer is crucial when fishing 25-30fow. Anyways, I'm sold, and I'd encourage you guys to PM Pepe if you haven't yet to try and few of the baits he's working on. Baits made in the Ozarks, by Ozark fisherman, for Ozark Lakes, that catch fish!? Doesn't get any better than that! http://webboutdoors.com/2015-info/central-elite-pro/elite-pro-results/adam-johnson-wins-2016-central-elite-pro-championship/ Adam
  3. It might be kind of beneficial if we compiled a list of the free accesses to the lake. Here are a few I can think of. MO side: Spring Creek Launch off HH - Concrete with Walkway Pontiac(Not %100 sure) Concrete with Walkway Ark Side Howard Creek off CRD 15 - Concrete with Walkway. Also important to note, COE launch fees are only required during the warmer months. I'll double check in the next few days but I'm pretty sure its only required April 1 - September 30.
  4. Awesome. Sounds like it was knocking on the records door!
  5. Wow a 5 pound mean mouth! Made me think. I bet that is close to a world record. I tried doing a quick Google search to see what the current one was and couldn't find anything. From what I've heard its rare to find any over a few pounds. Anyone know if there is a Missouri record meanmouth?
  6. Hey all, just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know about the Inaugural Angling for the Athletes Buddy Bass Tournament to benefit the Special Olympics of Missouri. Its being hosted by the Theodosia Marina. We'd love to see you all out there. Here is the front and back page of our flyer. I also attached a PDF version for the fine print. Feel free to PM me with any questions! Should be a great event! Final Production Flyer 4-7.pdf

  8. Don't blame you for being a tad tight lipped with his derby coming up. Sounds like a magical day when it all just comes together. If it's anything like my fishing having a day like that every now and then makes the much more common tough days a lot more bearable. Congrats!
  9. I hardly saw any fish on beds. I think most are done, and the water at least around the dam was too dingy to see any on beds deeper than 3 feet. We caught most of ours in 20 to 30ft. Had 13.26. Had fish on for 15.5 maybe, but who doesn't have that story.
  10. FYI to add. Tournament had about 200 boats. A hair under 20 won it. That bag had a 6 and 7 pounder in it which was also big bass. Guy was a tad tight lipped on how they caught them but I heard mentioned "brush" and "jig". Paid out 15 spots. 15th was 13.6 I believe. Also a 15 pound limit of all smallies weighed. Stacey King and his partner were third I think.
  11. I pulled up a branch with a jig which had a few attached by turkey creek last fall or winter. That's just a couple miles south of the theodosia bridge.
  12. Send me the Gps coordinates please... Haha jk. Glad to hear this.
  13. The big gills are definitely up. We caught a dozens the size of your hand flipping for bass with jigs and soft plastics. I'm sure guys targeting them with smaller lures could really smoke em in the bushes now.
  14. Scanlon to get his first win. Though to be honest. I played it a lot safer on my fantasy roster.
  15. I have no doubt there are winning fish for a large derby like this in every creek, bay, etc on this lake. However the weights and tourney feedback doesn't lie and it seems almost every major derby I've followed in the last year has been won up the river(aside from rumors of the musics playing in a couple winter bassothons). Either the boys that call that area home are just better sticks than the rest or there is something to it. Could just be a variety of factors. Like fish247 was saying perhaps the stained water is more conducive to the shallow fish which are traditionally easier to catch as opposed to the clearer waters of the lower lake where the fish are deeper and roam more. My knowledge of the upper river is limited but I would think the additional current would help position the fish on structure as opposed to the lower lake fish which are more nomadic due to lack of current. I see the same 5 or 6 names in the top ten of almost all these derbies. They've clearly got something figured out.
  16. We saw Luke clauson Thursday near Indian point.
  17. Congrats! So the fish on beds were eating a wiggle wart?
  18. I've fished this a few times, and I got to say, it is probably the best benefit tournament in the state. Last year there were around 160 boats. Just by entering you have a 1 in 160 chance to win a brand new Nitro Z18. Where else can you even pay to enter a benefit raffle that has those good of odds to win? Not to mention there is quite a bit of swag you get, food and drinks afterwards and the chance to win some money if you catch em good.
  19. It's been a pretty decent week for me as well. These were from Monday and Tuesday. There are definitely a bunch of big ones willing to bite. Seems like a lot of different things working too My guess is 72lbs will win the elite. Lots and lots of boats out today compared to most weekdays.
  20. I always find these bass reports for tany really interesting. I've fished it a few times for bass with less than stellar results. Plenty of people will tell you there are big ones lurking though.
  21. Back in march I was fishing a derby out of BSBoat Dock I fished Gooley for a while and decided to run up towards theodosia because I wanted to fish the back of a small 10 acre cut. Just past the saddle north of Oakland a boat jumps up on plane and starts moving north so I get in behind. I follow him for 8-10 miles up the theodosia arm and wouldn't you know it pulls in the same cut and plops down right in the back exactly where I had hoped to fish. You hear the Elite Series anglers especially KVD talk about getting into a good "rotation" during the day. I guess that is what he means? Some days it seems like every spot I want to run to is wide open then other days well... I follow a dude 10 miles to watch him cover up my fishing hole. What'd it take to win the derby?
  22. I'm going to guess. Homemade, though the skirt looks like the old style lunkerlure flat rubber.
  23. Figured I'd give a shout out to one of our very own forum members for catching the big bass of the tournament and leading day one of the derby. There are some sticks in that field so it's quite the accomplishment. Here is the link to the final day weigh in, winner details, and info. 70 miles is an awful long haul but it paid off I suppose. http://webboutdoors.com/2015-info/central-elite-pro/elite-pro-results/central-elite-pro-bull-shoals-final-results/
  24. Unfortunately in my opinion if the transfer will happen in this way it probably already has happened in some capacity. I'm sure plenty of the locals especially during white bass season pay no attention and jump back and forth between the lakes with out ever pulling the drain plug and just bilging as needed.
