S&M Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Post deleted for the betterment of the members. As well as my membership on this website. How do I deal with those who ignore the 50 yard encroachment rule?......I show them just how accurate I am with a crank bait!

Guest csfishinfool Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Sight fishing to fish on beds. Yanking the fish in as fast furious as they could, bouncing them all over their boat, and tossing into the livewell with the most joyless efficiency. Sure hope they win lots of money so they can fund their next trip to your favorite reservoir! Thats what it is all about getting to that next tournament. If i have to sight fish to do it. darn right I will. "bouncing them all over their boat, and tossing into the livewell with the most joyless efficiency" If your implying the fish died on the show you were watching your completley mis informed. The tounment fishing industry has taken huge steps to keeping fish alive, and keeping conservation at the top of the list. Look at the Oxygenator product, along with several Catch and Release aids. These products revitalize the slim coat of a fish that hit the deck of the boat. The other adds pure oxygen to the livewell. Trust me the last thing a pro fisherman wants to do is see his fish killed. Plus, there are more than a few Pro Anglers that have college degrees in Fisheries Management. They know what there doing. There is knowone on the pro circut that catches a fish with "JOYLESS" efficiency. Who can catch a fish without JOY!!! And catching one that could be worth, 5,000....50,000....500,000. Thats the most JOY I have ever had.
Fishing Buddy Don House Posted August 10, 2009 Fishing Buddy Posted August 10, 2009 Decent people........ That's awesome.......at least you aren't harsh all the time..... Seriously.....wow, you are the best...... how did I miss that.... WOW, this guys just does not get it!!! By the way Codwater or what ever your name is, you still have not told us what you do for a living, or is it just DO YOU WANT FRYS WITH THAT? Funny how you leave that out... I don't mean to upset you by what the heck, RIGHT!! Maybe Eric, we should ask phil and Bill to create out own form that only we can have access to so we can how was it said "whine or bitch" about our jobs to ourself and just leave everyone else out totally!! Really a drag, but it would solve all of this that way we can talk about fishing and what is going on without have to be correct not to hurt anyones feeling by not giving them the farm.. So anyway this is not worth it Eric, if they don't like what we do or how we do it, then the heck with them, don't read our post, don't hire us, but also don't expect anything as well, just go figure it out yourself.. ColdWaterFshr Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Whoa, whoa, whoa. You guys are reading me all wrong. Never did I say its right for people to look over your shoulder, knowing that you are a guide, and try to steal tips and info, and locations, follow you around the lake. Never said it. And I don't believe its right. I just think it is part of the job and industry you are in, and you better develop a thicker skin for it and some ways of dealing with it, especially on a lake like TR in summertime. Just too many people about, and its only human nature that they will get curious with your methods and try to pick up a few bread crumbs for free. Heck yeah, its nervy to follow you around on a guide trip. I would never do it in a million years, but go ahead and lump me in with parasites, And for you guides, yes, I can appreciate the fact that you are out trying to make a dollar to put food on the table and feed your family -- all work is honorable -- we agree on that. But spare me the "adverse conditions" nonsense and the poor-me fluff about having to work (as in, fish) on your days off so you can help your clients catch more fish, and its the toughest profession out there. What a load of hooey. No one forced you into it, and you ain't down in some dark mine shaft chipping away at rocks breathing in dust and neither am I. But I sure don't go on an "entertainment" website like this, and #$%tch about my job, ask for comments, and not expect to get some honest feedback. "A non-paying client is asking me for tips on how to fish a tourney, I just can't believe the audacity of some people, and I've had my fill" Boo-friggin-hoo. And Yoda, hiring a guide IS a shortcut. Whats wrong with calling it what it is? Can't compare your profession to a doctors because, christ, thats your health. A much more important skill set and consequences than the success or failure of a fishing vacation trip, right? Can't compare it to a financial advisor, heck, thats your retirement. Hiring a contractor to build your house? Whatever. I'd say its closer to hiring a prostitute than any of your weak analogies, but I digress, we'll just have to agree to disagree. Probably not completely nice thing to say, but I was only going for some cheap humor points. Forgive me, this place is a bit too stuffy and serious for a fishing website. Guides b'n about pros and clients. Blech!
fishinwrench Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Y'all are being fickle. You promote yourself to the highest degree (I mean just look at the avitars) ....then complain because of the attention you are getting. Gimme a break, having a few rookie wannabe's follow you around and pumping you for info feeds your ego...... and you know it. Besides, you act like it happens every single time you dump your boat, and I know better. Get over yourself Man.
