It blows me away that the same type of people that support that kind of justice are the same ones that will call family services on someone for delivering a well deserved swat to their kids behind, or forcing them to do extra chores as a punishment. Where's the balance of compassion there ? Or is it just about sticking your nose in someone elses business... because you can ?

Real property is seized all of the time through state courts. You just don't hear about it. Whether it be a meth house, coke house, or any other drug or criminal matter that takes place on a piece of property. If law enforcement responds to it a couple of times, an affadavit can be signed attesting to the number of criminal related calls that had taken place on the property.

I'd always seen the sign for Camp Zoe along 19 and wondered what the deal was (and now I also know where the loud music was coming from whenever I'd camp anywhere near Round Spring)...Sounds like the people were causing some problems, but then so are the people at Round Spring CG. You can't tell me that a joint never gets smoked on the National Park Service property. A drunken flotilla on a national river is probably a bigger problem than some hippies partying it up on private land.

But I have no idea about exactly what went on there, having never really known what the place was about until today.

Cricket, I really don't care what goes on in this guy's field. I don't have a dog in the fight. The guy could be the nicest fella in the world, but if you're throwing festivals on your farm and the place is known (personally don't know) for this kinda stuff then you betcha someone is going to be watching especially if there have been multiple complaints.

I don't know what your link leads to because the internet filter here apparently doesn't like it. From what google indicated it was an article about LE wanting drugs to be legalized or de-criminalized. My personal thought on the matter is, I don't care. To each their own, but that being said, the law is what it is right now.

The problem I see is that you are operating under the assumption that you saw smoke... I would gladly wait to see the evidence but it doesn't sound like the state will need to prove its case, eh?
