fishinwrench Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Beautiful fish guys, Chief, the blood was prolly from the last mechanic that worked on that Merc.
Mitch f Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 Beautiful fish guys, Chief, the blood was prolly from the last mechanic that worked on that Merc. A guy that works for me part time owns Al's Lakeside Marine in Bethalto, IL, one of his mechanics was sent to Mercury school. While he was at school he was working on a Mercury starter and a 21 year old kid turned on the ignition after being warned not to. Here is the result....no photoshop, this was the cell phone pic. 28K to reattach "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
LittleRedFisherman Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Great fish guys, that's really makes me want to go fishing bad. Been to busy as work to go lately, may have to sneak off next week. . Dandy Fish!! Might could of done without the last pic however...lol. I'll remember that if I ever have to work on my Merc... There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
fishinwrench Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Ug! Major reality check, Mitch. I tend to get over-confident at times and skip that all important step of DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY before doing certain things..... and I know better ! I needed that reminder! Thank You! !!! I train at MMI and they pound SAFETY into your head so much it gets annoying.... but this is why.
Chief Grey Bear Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 FYI ,The jerkait that was used was 3.5" long and was made to duplicate the exact color and size of a full grown Neosho. eric1978 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Awesome fish and disgusting finger. You're the Andrew Dice Clay of safety trainers.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 10, 2012 Root Admin Posted March 10, 2012 Pic of finger... "I'm not EVEN going to click that pic and make it bigger!!!" Wow! Something I picked up on in the first post was - "ultra clear water". An interesting discussion would be how to fish clear water vs colored water on these rivers for smallies.
