My cell phone company is AT&T, and I really struggle with cell phone coverage when traveling in the Ozarks. Is there a company that is better then another...or...is there just a lack of cell towers.

Before you bitch... I just want to be able to text my wife that I made it to location and am leaving a location. I don't want the office on the stream. Lack of coverage caused some wife concern this weekend at St. Francis. Rule in my house, if Mom ain't happy, then no one's happy. Don't laugh, going on 22 years...it works.

Might just be that particular area, I have ATT and it rocks everywhere I go.

One alternative would be to grab a cheap Tracfone from wal-mart and a 120 minute card.....those things get signal if ANYONE does.

Verison. I havent found but a couple spots I cant get signal. 1 being Roaring River and the other is Crane Creek. I really dont seem to mind that no one can get me when im there. My wife accuses my cell of not getting recesption on Beaver, Taney and TR. I think its called selective answering though.

Once I leave the SPFD metro area and head south, service gets sketchy with AT and T. Especially at Roaring River and along Hwy 160.

Whenever a fishing partner answers their phone when we're on the water I give them a look of contemptuous disdain and tell them it's no different than answering the phone in church.

verizon. I haven''t found a place in Missouri and northern AR I can't get coverage, with the exception of parts of the Buffalo.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

AT&T is good on the Upper Current, but not good on the NFoW..I can make a call from Sunburst most of the time...sometimes you have to drive up the hill. Just depends.

Who needs cellphones. Nature is alot better without them.
