WakenLake Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 It is awfully awkward to have to snub those people but they just don't stop. www.jordanvalleyautorepair.com
gotmuddy Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I feel sorry for them, that is unless they get paid commission. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
oneshot Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Well I'm cheap I done got my annual Branson Vacation booked for September.I admit I use them almost bought Time Share, slep on it over night, put a stop on the Check, took their Paperwork back. But I get all discounts and Coupons I can off Internet. Oh I'm the one slipping my days catch of Fish into the Hotel in my Little Cooler. LOL oneshot
rps Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I find a simple, friendly, "Go away before I rip your arm off and beat you with it!" works well.
eric1978 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Ask them if they take Food Stamps, that will normally get rid of them. LOL They don't bother me much...I just tell them right off the bat I'm not interested. If they try to keep talking, I cut them off..."I'm not interested." But what we have here is..."I'm not interested. Thanks anyway." Usually third time's a charm. Takes about 15 seconds. Same technique is used for door-knocking Jesus converters.
Quillback Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I had a guy ring my doorbell about 7 PM last night trying to sell me an ADT alarm system. I told him it was really annoying to get disturbed by inconsiderate nitiwt salespeople in the evening. The guy got an attitude and left. I can't believe in this day and age there are still door to door salespeople out there. That brings me to spam email sales messages - does anyone on this planet actually open one of those emails and try and buy their obviously bogus products? Somebody must, because they keep sending those emails out.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 30, 2012 Root Admin Posted May 30, 2012 Question: Were they selling vacations at Big Cedar for Bass Pro or the regular time shares Branson is known for? Big Cedar has been selling and pushing time shares for a few years now. I'd be very surprised if they let someone else, a competitor time share company, come on to their property and sell their time shares when BP is in that business.
Feathers and Fins Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 LOL, I had the ADT guys 2 weeks ago about the same time. Told them " You just came to my house at 7pm after i worked all day and interupted my dinner you need to leave people alone at their house " He to left with an attitude. Now I do not mind the kids comming at night trying to sell stuff for school functions and sure dont mind girl scouts selling cookies. I understand thats when they have to because of being in school all day. But i am sick of door to door roof salesmen, alarm salesmen and Churches..... They get a very un-nice go away and dont come back. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
UnCivE Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 The people at Springfield are Big Cedar salesman, and I've been asked twice. I just pretend like I'm deaf.
Jack Jones Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I had a buddy who would just answer the door for salesman, Jehovah's, etc....butt naked. He'd explain he's a nudist who is comfortable in that way in his own home, that they were certainly welcome to come in and talk with him and that they need not take their clothes off. No one ever did....... "Thanks to Mother Mercy, Thanks to Brother Wine, Another night is over and we're walking down the line" - David Mallett
