drew03cmc Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Scott, if I were closer, I might could take you up on something most Fridays. Andy
ColdWaterFshr Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I just discovered this offer this morning. Wouldn't have been able to join you anyway, but it sure sounded good. Report up when you get back.
LarrySTL Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Scott, I am much more interested in whether thats a bullfrog pattern tiny torpedo in the LM pic than I am in your shorts !! Nice fish tho LOL http://intervenehere.com
LarrySTL Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Thats still five more fish than I caught at this desk today ! http://intervenehere.com
BredMan Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Hey thats fishing! The Bourbuese was a favorite spot for me and my fishing buddy but we haven't been there for some years now. Made many long floats and had good success catching LM, SM, and Goggle Eye. Although there were some times it was darn disappointing like any other place. I actually caught an 18" walleye once that was a surprise to everyone including myself. Very nice river to float and fish. Late summer the moss gets pretty bad and a pain to deal with at times.
Jerry Rapp Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 hey Smallie, thanks for the honest report. That happens in any kind of fishing. I would guess that about 90% of the time in my 50 years of fishing, when I knew exactly how I was going to catch them (any species in anybody of water), how deep, which technique, that I never even did as good as you did today. I have learned to "try" to adapt to the changing conditions, but is still hard. Keep it up, you will more good days than bad!

ColdWaterFshr Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Japan, Missour? Sounds like a place Paul Dallas would know well. Good laughs from your report. I wouldn't consider a 16 inch smallie on a half-day trip to be all bad.
