Joe, I agree where would this nation be without the bloodletting from attorney's in our court rooms......we would be screwed as a nation without them

I think America would be better off with more lawyers. We need more laws to keep people in line, to keep America "lawful." To do the "right" thing. Therefore, the need for more attorneys is of utmost importance. Who will legislate, if not lawyers? Who will decide societal issues, if not the Supreme Court (lawyers)? Who will govern our towns, our cities (lawyers)? Who will monitor our professional sports leagues (lawyers)? Who will decide where we want to buried, and where our hard earned money will go (lawyers)? Surely, and luckily, the welfare of our children will be decided by, you guessed it, lawyers.

In sum, the answers to most societal and governmental issues can be solved with...lawyers.

We're in good hands my brothers. No gloom and doom in America. As long as we have our army of lawyers to fight fights, right wrongs, legislate and administrate, and generally, make work for themselves, and get paid, we should be happy.

It's the American way.

"Oh, and JoeD is an idiot"

" Your inbred hillbilly dumbass willfully ignorant logic may not be all of what's wrong with this country, but it's an awfully big part of it."

Shoot you sound like a real good attorney....... you sound a tad sensitive about someone critquing your alleged profession......http://youtu.be/B65mtE2TN1w

Like it or not, class warfare or not, this is a large contributor to "gloom and doom".

If you haven't seen this already, it's well worth your time watching. Class warfare ? Yeah, but from the top down.

After 42 years at a Fortune 500 Corporation employed in the Corporate Hdqtrs. offices in Finance, I can tell you firsthand that most of this is caused by rubber stamp Boards of Directors and their cross-serving on each other's Boards. They regularly vote obscene rates of compensation, consisting of salaries, bonuses and stock options to the current Corporate Officers thus denying shareholders legitimate profits which would then filter down into the economy. The SEC does little or nothing to regulate this raping of Corporate Treasuries and this Country is the acknowleged leader in this travesty.

Glad to see this Skeeter. This however is a symptom and not the disease. The disease is how our money is created and distributed.....the above vid you posted outlines one of the many consequences of the present system.

So we go back to some Neanderthal cave and start over?

LOL Really!

All this discussion is, is a woulda-shoulda-coulda tournament. Nothing is ever gonna change and nothing is gonna get fixed. A more constructive conversation would be how, as individials, to best deal/live with it.

Wrench...couldn't agree more. Nothing will change. As for the woulda-coulda-shoulda...I disagree. I believe I might be the only one posting that is trying to strike at the root of the cancer. Which is: 1.Apathy. 2. A total lack of understanding of how our monetary system works. 3. The false belief that our government works for us.

Now change will happen...mind you ...when the pain of 1,2 and 3 set in full board. What will it change into is anyone's guess.

So we go back to some Neanderthal cave and start over?

Fundamentally we haven't changed much in our philosophical views. Aside from our technology, we are still a bunch of people being lead around by the superstition peddlers.

Politician: We can't rule ourselves.

Priest: You can't rule yourself.

Banker: Your too stupid to figure all this out.

We have to grow up and drop our silly superstitions.

So is God a silly superstition?

I never mentioned God. Don't confuse "priest" with God.

Or is this a real question...not just a quip?

Is God a superstition? I guess you would have to define God to me, before I could answer the question.

Do you mean the God of Hinduism, Muslims, Christians, Catholics, or Buddhist?
