Quillback Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I know he's telling everybody he's catching them on jerkbaits and the A-rig, but here's what he is really using: http://www.saftbait.com/
Bill Babler Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Boy you can really tell we can't get outside. I used to respect Jimmy Houston, but is there simply nothing that he nor Bill Dance will try and sell? It simply boggles the mind. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Guest Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 whats really sad are the little kids who get these for gifts and are let down when they realize its a scam. Believe me, I was let down by the following: Dancin Eel, banjo minnows, flying lure
Riverwhy Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 My guess was that he was throwing Babe Winkleman's banjo minnows.
Quillback Posted April 2, 2013 Author Posted April 2, 2013 I like the whip crack sound the bass make when they grab the minnow. I wish they would do that when they bite my baits.
Members Topwater TRL Posted April 2, 2013 Members Posted April 2, 2013 I fell for the Banjo Minnows sorry to say. I'm still trying to get rid of them by using as spinnerbait trailers. A fool and his money........ Topwater TRL
Jerry Rapp Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 hey, the Flying Lure made great trailers for spinnerbaits and jigs! Plus I am sure Jimmy got some good $$, but....... Now I need to get out my helicopter lures. I have a hunch....
*T* Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Those Helicopter lures on an A-rig could be the ticket. Would some of them need to be counter-rotation? "Water is the driving force of all Nature." -Leonardo da Vinci
abkeenan Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I like the whip crack sound the bass make when they grab the minnow. I wish they would do that when they bite my baits. That is a riot. I also wish it made that whip noise as I would finally be able to detect fish faster than seeing my line going sideways in the water.
Members 3inonegod Posted April 2, 2013 Members Posted April 2, 2013 Not saying the Banjo was not a scam. I was down at TR and we were on a cold front and could not get the bass to bite. Over the next 3 days I used everyone of my white, smoke, and green banjo's. Caught a ton of fish. you never know.
