I just bought my third one and feel compelled to mention what an utter gem of a baitcasting reel it is. I could have spent a whole lot more but I can't imagine finding a reel any better. It has got to be the best value going. Workmanship and design are outstanding. It's not often that a company hits one out of the park on their first swing. Also nice to hear that Lew's name, brings back many memories. It's good to get out of the embrace of Shimano who of late either produces something affordable but mediocre or super expensive and a jewel. I notice the company headquarters (at least warranty registration) is in Spfd. Mo on Bennett St. !!

You will not find a better or even compareable reel for anywhere near the money you just spent. These reels, are not Diawa Steez, but you also have several hundred bucks in your pocket you would have spent. These are every mans go to reels, and rigtht now nobody and I mean nobody is even close to touching them for quality, castability and design.

Have not found a product at any price that will compare with the quality of these fine reels. I got a boat load of them anytime I'm on the water. Weather I pick up a Steez or a Tournament Pro, they cast and set up and maintain that set up cast after cast day after day, reguardless of the conditions.

I'm one happy Lew's customer and I demand the very best from my equipment.

Good stuff,and seem to be good folks. Met Jim up at the store yesterday. Have several...TP, speed, and even the lower end laser. All are smooth and feel great in hand. May be a curado sale happening...

I went to all Lews reels myself best deceision I made and It nice to have the Headquarters here in Springfield,MO

I'm in the process of doing the same ... switching over from Curados to Lew's. Donna and I have four now and are very pleased with them.

I don't know all the details behind it but I doubt they ever will. No loss for Lews.

No loss? Really? I'm sure they are doing very well, but I'd think having your brand in one of the largest retailers would add to the bottom line...
