bfishn Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 More positive reinforcement for me to avoid shopping... as if I needed a reminder. So were you expecting $300 Mr. B? I can't dance like I used to.
Bill Babler Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 I gave the same question to two of my buddies and they both said 300. I gave it to Lisa at Lilleys' and she knew it was $420 in about 15 seconds. Man life is hard I'm like Jethro, I cannot get my gusindas right. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Bill Babler Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 I don't think they make them that big. And if the do they really shouldn't. $1000-40%=$600. Then you take the additional 30% off of the $600. Your my hero. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Feathers and Fins Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Actually I was going to use this equation. 1000.00 + 30% = 1300.00 - 40% = 520.00 - 30% = 364.00 + tax total of 398.58 https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
bfishn Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Thanks. Being a fool is not as embarrassing when you have company. I can't dance like I used to.

denjac Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Bill, use your cypering on my tab. Dont ask Becky to figure it for you ! Also then the discount multipliar for the individual items would be 0.42. Say 1 item was $300 retail. Your costs would be 300 x .042 = $126 And if you wanted to mark it up and sell it say at 50% markup you would divide your cost by.50 to get your selling price. $126 / .50 = $252. That would be 16% discount off retail and you doubled your money. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. moguy1973 Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 $420 yeah I was going to say $420 but I got in a little late... $1000 x .60 (for your regular discount) = $600 $600 x .70 (for your additional discount) = $420 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
