But the economy has been like this for several years now, and the pressure hasn't been this bad until this year, seems to me.

Al, im serious about the cause. There are several reality fishing shows out right now and people are wanting to try it now. It is not to the level Duckmen have caused yet! But its getting there. Duckmen created so many face paint wearing "experts" last season it was comical some days. Same is now happening with fishing shows its getting people out.

But by all means, please continue to post fishing reports naming the creeks and rivers you're fishing.

Al, you're starting to sound like a grumpy old man..........like me.......Seriously I have to wonder what it will be like in the future and will our outdoor resources be able to handle the people trying to crowd into the available waters? I think F&F is at least partly right. When I first went to NW Ontario and fished Cedar Lake above Vermillion Bay, Ontario there were very few boats on the water and we were unusual because we fished for smallmouth and probably 3/4 of the people targeted Walleye, Northern Pike or Muskie and considered Smallmouth a trash fish. Within the next 20 years US Highways going north turned into mostly Interstates at least up into Minnesota and the roads from Int Falls up into Ontario were improved and you were more likely to see bass boats pulled from as far away as Texas crossing the border. And now a lot of TV shows in the Midwest film a lot of Canadian fishing trips.People see that, go fish up north in early June come home and head to the rivers for Smallmouth. I don't know the answer but as the population grows everything gets overcrowded and ethics seems to take a back set the days of stream fishing as we know it may be gone.
