Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 13, 2013 Root Admin Posted July 13, 2013 I've been chased by a dz bears the last 2 days and now can handle anything you can throw at me!!
exiledguide Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Go back to sleep Phil this almost educational. Al almost right actually I Goggled redneck and checked wickiwhatever and found that the original recorded record of redneck was the use to deride farmworkers who had sunburned neck they were also called among other things woolhats because only the elite could afford silk hats it also was used by the coal miners in the last century like WallySmally posted. Now everybody should know that Gomer would probably prefer NeHI Grape with his Moom Pie lunch in North Carolina in the 60s and I have to challenge your definition of the term Redneck........I focus on two classical emotional moving songs first the classic Redneck anthem set where else but in the great state Oklahoma by classical song writer Ray Wyley Hubbard, " UP Against The Wall Redneck" which actually inspired me with the lyrics 'kicking yuppies azzes and raising you know what" so much that I once asked my wife if she would change her Christian name to Betty Lou Thelma Liz obviously that's a story for a later time under a flashing neon sign. The other classic song was David Allen Coe singing about this long hair don't hide my red neck and the bikers who are looking at the yuppies who are hoping they get out of here alive...........So with the term redneck featured in such great classical songs I think your derogatory description of Rednecks should be revaluated............I think
exiledguide Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Mitch the ultimate insult for any white man is to be called a yuppie usually preceded by something such as claiming he has an improper relationship with his mother or he has a good buddy relationship with a male person or the milder beady eyed maggot yuppie and white trash might get your butt kicked in a few paces I have been..........
exiledguide Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Al I missed another classic the late great Johnny Russell's Redneck White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer

Al Agnew Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Dang, I forgot that Gomer loved Nehi Grape. As for redneck, I'm just going by what I've noticed about so many self-professed rednecks, especially in the Ozarks. They're the ones flying the Rebel flags from their front porches, and plastered to their pickups (even though, if they're a native Ozarkian, their great great grandpappies were probably for the Union), their pickups all have great big tires...well, you get the picture. Of course, anybody that self-professes to be a redneck might not be anybody the true rednecks would claim Phil, I thought we mostly kept it civil while you were gone, with a few notable exceptions, and even those got called on it. We almost acted like responsible adults
Mitch f Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 So my friends from Chicago call me redneck, Missourians call Arkansawyers rednecks, I guess Arkansawyers dump on Louisiana?? Well you know what they say goes downhill???? Hey Al, we now have more than our love for fishing in common. As of today we have both Successfully extracted a Zara Spook from the right arm of Steve White using the shoestring trick! Ps. He didn't pass out this time! Hill billy Redneck Hoosier Hick White trash Bumpkin???? Forgot Cracker - Which is actually a term for Florida cowboys that used whips to move their cattle. The term came from the "crack" in the whip.
Guest Brian B. Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I had always wondered where "Cracku'" had come from- for some reason I had invisioned some kind of Saltines reference(considering the source)- that accaount actually sounds like it may be the legit accurate origin of Cracker. (Still have yet to hear a term that offends me- funny how that works, guess youhave to have a victim's mentality)

Smallies are quite special and I would not think of keeping one. Way too many goggle eye, walleye, crappie and gills to eat. As to why I inquired about the high schools? St Louis is the only town I know where folks identify you by the high school you went to. When in the Lou and you are asked what school you went to is does not mean college. Dadakota, PM sent- appreciate your PM
