Members Tearin Up Topwater Posted July 8, 2013 Members Posted July 8, 2013 Photo shopped? HAHAHA! that's funny. If there were smallies that big in the river, this coward wouldn't have the balls to step foot in the water. Its mouth would engulf his enitre pinhead for F&$% sakes!
moguy1973 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I'm guessing that's 17-18" bass....Which would make it 9-10 years old...so sad... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
lee G. Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 If anyone knows the length of the tag, easy to determine the length of the fish. p.s. I just a pic of one online that is 3/4 in. dont know if same type tag, is MDC smallmouth though.
lee G. Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I just did some measuring and i came up with 20 inches, but i think the tag in the pic is longer than the one i found, so i'am guessing that is a 16-17 fish.
Gavin Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 It looks like one of MDC's smally tags...gray/blue on the dorsal. That jackwagon is standing well behind the fish (5 or 6 feet) so the perspective makes the fish look much bigger than it is. Its length isn't important though. This guy is poaching fish with a pole spear and he needs to be stopped.
Greasy B Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I wonder if he's read what was written about him on this or other forums? Is it possible that this "Poster Boy of Poaching" is having second thoughts about his behavior? Could he now be realizing the passion others have for these wild fish and the gravity of his offense? His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
dennis boatman Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 ...I doubt it... I wonder if he's read what was written about him on this or other forums? Is it possible that this "Poster Boy of Poaching" is having second thoughts about his behavior? Could he now be realizing the passion others have for these wild fish and the gravity of his offense? A strike indicator is just a bobber...
MOsmallies Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 ******* Update****** I have deleted all my comments pertaining to this and am done with river fishing for Smallies. I have had it with the lack of ethics of Missourians and the apathy on most people behalf on trying to bring loosers like this to justice. The conversation I had with a MDC agent today has spelled out clearly how most feel in this state in regards to Smallmouth Bass. So all you city slickers that fish rivers with in 100 miles of St.Louis consider yourselves lucky, those rivers and streams won't be getting nailed by me anymore......I will now be going back to my old addiction Golf.........I am done banging my head against the wall for no reason. MISSOURI WILL NEVER CHANGE.....so good luck to all of you chasing a bunch a 16 bass if your lucky, you won't be hearing from me on here anymore unless your in my golf cart or walking 18 with me. See ya Can I have all your gear? Just kidding... Let us know what you were told by the MDC. You can't just up and quit like that.
