Meramec River Shooting

Speaking just for Northwest Arkansas, I seem to remember a Bella Vista law enforcement officer who shot and killed a speeder and two Rogers Police who killed a lady with a knife in a convenience store recently, and two Rogers Policemen who shot at a car stopped in the middle of highway 12 in June. So lets not act like training and a badge mean you make good decisions.

I can also recall a number of children who accidentally shot and killed family or friends. What I don't recall is the last axe murder around here who was killed during a home invasion by a qualified gun owner. Just sayin... If you've never needed it your whole life, consider rarity of that happening and weigh it against the hassle and the risks. Also, this perspective is coming from a gun LOVER. By the way, in the news today, the Rogers Police face a $35 million lawsuit over the concienience store incident.

Minor correction, he went to Sulphur Springs. Years ago, the BV Chief xfrd to Cave Springs, but he was one of the good ones.

I can't believe you can chase down a car, shoot and kill the driver after he crashes and then become police chief in a neighboring town. If there is more to the story they sure didn't do a very good job making it public.

There was definitely more to the story, but nothing that would improve your opinion of the shooter.

IMO there's no way that guy should have found employment as a LEO anywhere. He must have some good connections in Sulphur Springs.

Here's what we can do. I'll get an extra bag of the electric blue ZMan worms. You find us a good spot.

If the tweakers are there, we open up the bag of worms, drop a couple of em on the ground, tell the tweakers the worms are great if they shred em up, roll em and smoke em. Trying to shred one of those worms ought to keep em busy enough to keep them off your truck and my car for at least a full day. If they do manage to smoke one, we might find we have put both crack and meth out of business.

Still sad to think that a man died in this situation.

It sounded like there were several witnesses. I have been following this (not until now as there hasn't been any updates that I could find).

Here is something from today with Crocker's lawyer saying he was being pelted and stoned with "rocks the size of softballs" and he was beaten and bruised.

From what I had read so far on the story, it seemed like it was from the side that was floating the river. One stated he was shot at 3 ft., another stated he was shot trying to push the gun away.

Interesting to see what happens when the truth comes out.

They were all acting like idiots the owner and the floater. Yes he will be prosecuted i think the charge will be manslaughter.
