I had the privilege to go out with a few good friends and hit the river. The fishing was a bit tough but, we caught a few and the best part for me was just getting out and having some good conversation with friends out on the river. I was able to catch some on a hair jigs I tied which also makes me happy. The bite was just slow as the water temps were quite low, although there were groups of fish out there.....just very isolated and scattered.....if you could find a pod they would eat. We were throwing hair jigs in Black and Green/Pumpkin and a few jerk baits for good measure. The fish were simply beautiful and tonic for the soul. Paul had a decent one spit his jig at the boat I wish I could got a pic of but, I could sense this trip was just killer for him as he had a smile permanently on his face. All three of us have very small children at home and it's just fun to trade stories. As always Mitch is such as gracious host and has one of best fishing IQ's of anyone I know..... I can't thank you enough buddy. I included a few pics of some fish and vid for anyone needing some cabin fever relief.

Stay thirsty Ol chap.

I have been missing you brother....I hope you are doing some serious killing out there??? Hostas all over Ballwin are depending on you.....hahaha

I hope you and your family have a great Chistmas and lets get together sometime possibly exchange a Hybrid trip for a Walleye or smallies trip???

you do realize that one of them fishes is a Neosho/Tn. River/Coosa hybrid didn't you! LOL! I caught a few smallies two days before the snow hit. I think that will hold me over until after the holidays. The snow melt (62 degrees in Arcadia Valley today) already has the creeks running good. 2 to 4 inches of rain will send every creek/stream wacko. I hope the rain forecast is way over estimated.

Seth I hope you get into some as well......the bite is kinda mushy in the winter but, they will eat and they are generally stacked up once you find them....this water event we are about the receive will help the fishing....raise water temps and get the clarity you need......it's very low and clear right now. We saw water temps from 38 to 39.....kinda cold

post some pics after you go so a lame butt like me can help my cabin fever :have-a-nice-day:

I love it when they have those red eyes!

And I'm glad to finally see you in something other than those gay shorts you always wear.
