edwin Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Love the thread. I've topped my TR fish at 6.1LM, 4.8SM, and a 4.1 spot...and the spot was the biggest of em all. Favorite of all was April 23, 2010. I had picked up a new boat that winter, was the first fishing trip with my girls. We roadtripped down from STL, got to the house late afternoon. They asked to fish for a bit before dinner. Time was short, so I dropped the boat lift and we fished the cove behind the house. Girls (10 and 6 at the time) we throwing single tail grubs on their Zebco Omega spincast combos. My 10 y/o sets the hook on a solid fish. Drag is screaming, fortunately she didn't lose it...3.9lb smallie. 10 y/o proceeds to talk copious amounts of sh!t to the younger sister about how the world turns. 6 y/o sets the hook just a few mins later on a 4.5lb smallie. Absolutely, without question, the best fishing day ever for me. "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 34Lb Flatty in the back of a cove on a Trot line near Kimberling

Don't know if I have ever caught better numbers than 2010, especially on the grub.
Members Tommy Neil Posted January 16, 2014 Members Posted January 16, 2014 9 lb 2 oz LM, 4 lb 8 oz Ken both within site of Big M and best tour stringer for boat 2 men was 64 lbs in the back of Cow Creek when the lake was up 10 ft. This was in the late 80's. I have caught 4 eight lb bass in Big M cove.
merc1997 Bo Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 my biggest lmb on the scales wa 9 lb. 12 oz. caught in a tournament. i caught one other bass that was much bigger than than one, but i caught it 50 ft. deep and we did not have a scale, and i did not want to put it in the livewell because that would have killed it. my biggest kentucky was 5 lb. 8 oz. biggest smallie was also 5 lb. 8 oz. and it was also in a tournament. back in 1981 mike sowders and i weighed in a 12 bass limit that weighed 62 lb. norman boles and i weighed in a 10 bass limit in an april tournament that weighed 52 lb. 11 oz. the fish kill just really took a toll on table rock. i do believe that we are getting some bigger bass back in the lake again, but they are also open water feeders, and that is due to fishing pressure, and the loss of timber. bo
Champ188 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Good story and great pix Edwin. Good to see you!
dblades Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 My personal best KY was a 4.67 weighed in a Central Pro Am December tourney. We were ledge fishing steep bluffs in the White River arm. Here's a pic of probably my biggest Table Rock LM from last Spring. No scales that day! Several smallies over 4, but no exact weights. Jeremy, you probably photo-shopped that one, and get off my bank.
denjac Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Not the heaviest fish I have caught but probably the longest. She shoulda weighed 8 pounds but just bumped 6. She was sickly and skinny. Caught on spin rod with 6 pound test on a grub. Fishing with Bill B. and Phil Lilley on tax day around 2005. Bet our best 5 that day woulda been close to 25 pounds.Remember that day Bill? Most that day were caught on a jerbait, April 15th. Hint: dont put the jerbait away to early ! Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo.
