fishinwrench Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 My utility bill has officially exceeded my mortgage payment. So Yeah!
Feathers and Fins Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I HUNT, Therefore I am out all year Doc you need to launch at PC and go toward Montne, fish live brooder minnows 30 to 50ft deep under the birds you cant miss the birds no way in this world. Striper boats were working them yesterday and I was marking lots of fish. It will be a tough bite with so much food available for them but they are there. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Old plug Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 My utility bill has officially exceeded my mortgage payment. So Yeah! I understand that Wrench mine was $266 and I ran my ben franklin stove during those low temperature periods. we had a rate increase as well you know. Were paying for the new cable system they are installing for the power company to carry TV and internet. Yeah I am super ready to get out there. I was forced to stop in early October. I would be out there now but this lake is not warming up a bit. Last I checked it was close to 33 degrees. We got another another nasty period suppose to blow in next week suppose to come early next week. Suppose to have a lot of freezing rain with it. In my case we will not even be able to get out of here if there is a lot of ice.
Ham Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I'm so ready. I may fish today. I have made six trips this month but despite that...i'm desperate to get out. I'm really, really ready to for the White Bass run, for bass pre spawn thru spawn, for panfish in May, for creek fishing, for a trip to the Mississippi river, catfish, Stripers, carp, and maybe even some night fishing. So ready. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

jolicious Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I HUNT, Therefore I am out all year Swepco: the cure for cabin fever
Stump bumper Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I am afraid the next two weeks are going to hurt no matter where you go, below freezing temps and frozen reels don't make a very pleasant day, I say a trip to Falcon might cure my cabin fever.
Old plug Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I think LOZ will be mostly frozen by day after tomorrow if we don't have a high wind.
Feathers and Fins Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I know there is a massive shad die-off going on right now on beaver, Avoca and Prairie Creek both had shad littering the bottoms in the back the birds were feasting on them, even saw a bunch laying on the ice in a few coves where the birds were standing on it munching away. I did locate some nice striper marks but in 39.2 degree water temp and shad die-off I doubt they would be biting much. If we could get water to go up in the 50's the back of the same coves will be loaded with shad that survived and full of hungry predators it could be a great spring. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
