fishingaddiction Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 Glad you caught a few. Looks like you were fishing some rip rap. How deep were you fishing? Thanks for showing us the spinbait will catch them. I can't wait to give them a go. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.

Thanks for showing us the spinbait will catch them. I can't wait to give them a go. They were in about 4' of water right on the edge of a little drop. I was just using a straight retrieve and they were really slamming it when one hit it. Those were just a couple of over 100 fish we caught Thursday but most of them we were getting were around standing timber and I just didn't have it in me to throw it in that stuff. I was fishing the Ghost M color on 6lb Mustad Ultra line on a 6' 8" ML Shimano Crucial with a 1000 Symetre.

Wouldn't be so bad if they were readily replaceable. Unless you can jiggle it loose or poke it out it will be a tough save, think my dog retriever will just slide clean over it.
Ham Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 QB , I think it ought to smoke them on BV lakes. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

Quillback Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 QB , I think it ought to smoke them on BV lakes. I'm thinking so also, bite has been real slow on the BV lakes this winter, I'm hoping once the ice is gone the fishing will pick up.

They normally shut it down by now it seems so maybe everyone thinks the plant is shut down already. The number of solid largemouths we caught was just amazing.
fishingaddiction Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 That is ridiculous bluebasser! You really put a whoopin on them. I gather by your coments that the lake you are fishing has a warm water discharge, which would mean spring like water temps. Those pic's are giving me a bad case of spring fever. Born to Fish.
