Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 12, 2014 Root Admin Posted March 12, 2014 What's a "double cousin"? Or do I want to know???
ruthead Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 you don't!! "Pretty soon we may not have any rights left because it might infringe on someone's rights"
laker67 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Well here is the best way I can explain it. Some of the names have been changed to protect the innocent. Bill's dad, Sam, married Amy Fuller. Amy has a brother named Robert. Robert marries Sarah, who is Sam's sister. Both couples have one son, Craig and Bill. That would make them double cousins and each having the same set of grandparents, who names I do not recall. All I can remember about the grandparents is, one set of the grandparents lived on the south side of Evening Shade, Mo., the other lived on the north side, and they were next door neighbors.
ness Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 He was a founding member of Pure Prairie League. Later joining Little Feat. Hah! Where does he find the time??? John

That's pretty cool... never heard of double cousins.
Feathers and Fins Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Here is a fun one for you Phil. A guy is married to his 2nd cousin by marriage.... For example; Say my Uncle by blood marrys his second cousin by marriage still his second cousin that makes my Aunt my 3rd cousin and still my aunt. It is more common than people want to beleive. It was very common at one time and in certain areas still happens even unknowingly. I know a guy that married his third cousin they didnt know each other didnt even know they were cousins until someone in the family did the geneology and discovered it. Boths roots came from Tennessee but they were living in Chicago when they met and married. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

Reminds me of the old Lonzo & Oscar classic- "I'm my own Grandpa!"
