Old plug Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 WOW 91/2 ring worms. That was one my favorites. I still have a couple bags of blue and tequila sunrise in my locker. I dig them out every now and then. You can make them things make a shaky tail look stiff.
Lvn2Fish Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Looks like there is a bite up the river. 21 pounds won the OMTT up there
fishinwrench Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Looks like there is a bite up the river. 21 pounds won the OMTT up there Yeah well, if you follow tournament weigh-ins for any time at all you'll usually come to the conclusion that there's ALWAYS a bite going on EVERYWHERE. About one in every 7-8 times I go out here close to my place I can load the boat pretty good. If you saw what I could bring to the scales on a good day you'd prolly think there was a hell of a bite going on in the Gravi. But there really isn't
Old plug Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 there is a ways a bite up the river. Way to far for me to go.
Old plug Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Wremch----- Glad you brought that up about the ring worm. I have neglected it thus far in the current bass situation. I think I will put one on next time I go out. Although I never cared about that thin neck on the head, it is truly one of the better worms ever made. It sinks slow and can be put through extreme actions with just a small pop. They were a big part of that fabulous year I had a ;few years ago. I bought to 200 a the old tackle shop on O and 5. Think i still got 50 or 60. They are still being made. I had the makers web site for awhile then did not order any.
Jerry Rapp Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 anyone ever use the old Cordell Pencil Worms? I finally ran out of them.
Old plug Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I faintly remember them but have no idea what they were like.

There is a bite up the river, above Hurricane Deck bridge. Regardless of the tournament weight. Past three weeks I have been up there, averaging about 15-18 pounds and outing. Minus the weekend of the OMTT where I had three fish for just under 10 pounds :/
