killing for fun...

when, i'm for letting them have all the carp and gar they want.... but throw them on shore for the wildlife or in the trash. Otherwise, they are littering our waters...

Now snakes are a different thing....

i'm all for, killing every snake ....

Go put in at PB2, run to the gravios and back. Make sure it is on Saturday. Then come back down to the rock.... You will be thankful for this beautiful lake then. I hate all of the complaining that goes on here. This is an amazing lake. With or without the boat traffic.

Amen. If you tripled the amount of boat traffic on Table Rock it's still 100 times better than LOZ not to mention 1,000 times cleaner and a million times more aesthetic with the hills, trees and plumage.

Why launch at PB2? There are a dozen good ramps located between Shawnee Bend to Dam and the upper Gravi.... if you want to fish the Northshore to Gravois area.

All those extra miles are better placed upon your land vehicle.

As for the roughfish, I'd say that gar are overpopulated in most bodies of water.....but before I can declare that I have to look at how overpopulated the shad are.

I think we need all the help we can get as far as keeping the shad in check. Too mu h food in the water is not a good thing. There needs to be a balance, so as fun as it seems to me I cant get behind bowfishing just for the sake of shooting practice or "scores".

I'm sure there's a way to anchor underwater targets if that's all it is about. Kinda like 3-D bow shoots.

Killing living critters just for the hell of it with no purpose or science indicating that it needs to be done is freaking sick!

I make an exception to ticks, monkeys and spiders however. :)

Champ,

Best just to leave it be. ;)

Thanks for the reminder, abkeenan. At least we don't have to worry about him killing too many bass, for obvious reasons.

I have talked several other guys who fish at night and they have had the same thing happen to them. One even when over to them to just asked if they had seen him sitting there. There reply to him was we have a right to go wherever we see fit so go back to your spot we wont be long.

I really feel that these guys need a etiquette handbook when purchasing a license. For that matter maybe just give everybody one.

I realize that there are others that cut people off too, but where you can blame ignorance

But this plain DISRESPECTFUL and completely out of hand.

I was raised up and taught if someone is on a spot leave them be. They were there first, that spot ain't gonna go anywhere so come back later. I have seen it in bass tournaments as well. And pleasure boaters as well. I have heard people say go on in there that guy can go somewhere else if they don't like it.

The only difference between LOZ and TR is mainly that TR is younger. Being a city boy you might not understand the workings of septic systems. Without going into a long explanation septic sytems drain into the ground and onces it is in there it can and will travel for miles pollution the ground water. In the case of lakes build in hills it will go down from the systems located on the hill and through pressures be forced up in to the lake. It os. happening now on table rock. That 300 ft buffer means nothing. affuents will travel right thru it in the rocky quafers. The answer is full sewers everywhere.

Here on LOZ in Morgan county we have the Morgan county sewer district. They are putting more and more momes on there system. When mine went on they had put 500 homes I think it was on the system in one year. So we have effort to get that under control.

As far as traffic. TR is voing to catch up with LOZ. You can bet on it. Just a matter of time and age.

Common courtesy just ain't very common anymore.

What he said X 10 !! Thankfully, there are still the occasional exceptions.

i watched one of the bow hunters come right up on another fisherman last night around the mouth of the kings. he may have got a talking to because he did not head on any further our way. if he had, i may have been the one to have hooked the biggest carp sucker for the night, lol.
