Quillback Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 This was just posted on Tackle Tour, look at the second video, the one with Goldbeck - he explains the action of the bait, talks about line size and castability. Of course it's a bit of a sales pitch, but some good info if you are interested in the Duo Realis baits. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast14duo.html
Ham Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 maybe the no stretch nanofil is part of the problem, but I am fishing on a Light spinning rod. I tend to blame the itty bitty hooks. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
5bites Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 He wasn't talking about docks in the White River. There are no fish around those docks. Or any docks anywhere for that matter. I mean, who fishes docks? Really? Besides when I typed docks I meant really deep cedar trees. Darn auto correct. Yea that's the ticket.

Bill Babler Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Just a comment on something that I really at this point know nothing about, but for me I really don't care that much about catching chasers on this bait. Of course I want to catch any that I can, but I want to get some of these baits and learn to use them as they were designed to target suspended fish. Table Rock is the place for this type of lite line fishing. I have had two fish over 9 pounds here and a host of 5 to 9 pounders on 4# test line. If you have a good reel, and catching these deep open water suspended fish for cripes sakes you could catch them on 2 pound no problem. Small line size here on the rock fishing to suspended fish should not come into play or be a problem Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Bill Babler Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Does Cabela's in Rogers have any of these baits? Might run down if they do. I do have several now in my possession that I received today from TW. I bought the Megabass and Lucky Craft. Oh Boy, I'm going to have a Dog in the Fight. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
5bites Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I don't see why this wouldn't be a dandy winter bait. That's where the line part worries me. 4-6lb line on a $15+ bait fighting a solid fish around cedars would be scary. Especially in a tournament situation.

Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers may have some.
fishingaddiction Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Nice report Quill. Happy to hear that the spin bait got some action, the reports are starting to get better as more use this bait. I fish them on a medium light action spinning rig with 6 lb fluoro. I haven't caught any on it since early summer, but haven't been fishing much either. QB let us know how the bigger rear hook works, it should help keep fish on better, but I am afraid that the extra weight in the rear will cause the bait to run with the slight tail down position. My next trip out I do plan to target suspended fish with the spin bait. Bill: Hook Line and Sinker in Rogers had a decent selection several weeks ago. You might give them a call before making the trip at 479-631-8118. I was in Cabelas a few days ago and they don't have any. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
