joeD Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Name one generation, one decade, one century, where the "elders" did not complain and kvetch and scold the behaviors of the young, especially when it comes to "respect" and "proper appreciation" of those who "sacrificed" and "made things possible" for us (you) (those) (them) to succeed. Please. The decline of (insert anything) is, as usual, incorrect. We're still here, aren't we? Besides, I'm calling BS on Jerry's original post. I don't think it happened. (If those kids in rural Mo were so self absorbed, how did they notice a half mast flag?).
lee G. Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 There is a thing called right and wrong, most people dont find it these days.
lee G. Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Compare the stats from the 60s 70s 80s to those now, crime wise, and say that again.
lee G. Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Good people are always there, but so are others
lee G. Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 The fact that i am a x LEO needs to be on line here
lee G. Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 i really dont like people telling me about what people will do, when i have seen all of it, lol
fishinwrench Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Stats? Oh puleeeze. In the 60's-70's people weren't convicted of "crimes" unless a CRIME was actually committed. Today you're a "victim" if you experience mild displeasure in something, and you're a "criminal" if you know who caused the displeasure and fail to report it. Comparative Stats go out the window when the rules of society change.
lee G. Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I agree wrench totally , i just meant that things have changed .
lee G. Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 When they are using swat teams to look for DUI or traffic tickets, there is a problem
